Our very first practice, as a team, will take place at Saint Vincent College! This is a very unique opportunity because no other Pittsburgh travel team does a training camp!

This camp’s main propose is to accelerate the process of becoming a team and implementing our game plans. Players will go through six two-hour practices while they are at camp.

All of the players & coaches will be staying in the freshmen dorms during the duration of the camp. Players will have assigned roommates and will also be placed with their respective team. This will also bring

about some great team bonding as well as allowing the players to really get to know their fellow teammates.

While players are on campus, they will be provided with meals during their stay. I encourage them to bring their own drinks and snacks as well.

This will be a separate payment and an online registration link as well!

This summer the Apex teams will be practicing at either Bethel Park High school’s athletic complex or at Shady Side Academy. The practice location will be selected very soon, both locations do not begin accepting summer field requests until the end of February and May.

Our practices will run every Tuesday and Thursday night. The time slot will be between 7:15-9:15. Scheduling practices later in the night makes it easier for both players and parents to attend practices.

These practices will focus on team development but also individual player development as well!

Our practice philosophy is simple, focus on the fundamentals of the game while enhancing each player’s overall lacrosse IQ. These two items are what college coaches look for the most in their recruiting process. In short, we set out to make our players standout to college coaches by installing solid lacrosse fundamentals in their skill set!

Apex Lacrosse will be participating in these summer tournaments listed below.

The first tournament we will be participating is the Cedar Point Lacrosse Classic. This tournament is held in Sandusky, OH and all the players who participate in this tournament get a free event-long pass to Cedar Point!

The second tournament is Trilogy Buckeye Classic held in West Chester, OH. Trilogy is a well-known lacrosse organization and they know how to get college coaches to these events.

The third tournament is the Warrior Summer Sizzle which is held in Baltimore, MD. This tournament has been one of the longest running lacrosse tournaments to date. Many of the Apex coaches played in this tournament back in their high school travel days!

Team Apparel For this upcoming summer Apex’s players will be sporting 2 Nike Lacrosse jerseys. Apex has decided to go with two jerseys for one reason, we want our players to be able to have a clean jersey to wear during our two-day tournaments!
