learning today)
Success Criteria (How can I show that I
have learned and understood)
• To write a personal reflection • To use first person (my, I, we)

immune system because my
comic was very funny.
• The rainbow reflection sheet
included below
• Coloured pens or pencils for the
rainbow
• You may wish to do this task using
technology
Numeracy/Maths Activity
Learning Intention (What we are learning
today)
Success Criteria (How can I show
that I have learned and understood)
• I can budget and work out change. • I can price different
products keeping to a budget.
• I can add the totals of
different products.
• I can work out how much
change is needed.
Explanation of activity Suggested Resources
• Organise a film night for all your
family to go to over the weekend!
Task 1:
• Create a price list for your cinema
night. You will want to include the
price of tickets, snacks and drinks
that you can sell for the film.
• Mild – The total of all your products
should equal £20 altogether and be
rounded to the nearest £1 (example -
£1, £2, £3).
• Spicy – The total of all your products
should equal £10 altogether and be
rounded to the nearest 50p (example –
50p, £1, £1,50).
• Hot – The total of all your products
should equal £15 altogether and be
rounded to the nearest 10p (example -
£2.40, £2.50, £2.60).
Task 2:
• Host your cinema night for your
family. Take orders for tickets, snacks
and drinks and work out the total each
person needs to pay (you could use the
print out coins below or make your
own!).
Task 3:
• Work out if your customer needs any
change! You will need to look at the
money they have given you and work
out which coins/notes you will need to
give them back.
• Money – you could use real
coins and notes if you have,
use the print out below or
even make your own coins and
notes.
• Tickets – there is an example
with the information you
could include below
(remember the price!).
• Price list – there is an
example below.
• You might even want to make
a poster to advertise your
cinema night!
Other Curricular Activity – Sports Day
Learning Intention (What we are
learning today)
Success Criteria (How can I show that I have
learned and understood)
• To be active and fit • I can follow the instructions on each
challenge card.
• I can take part in the activities
safely.
• I can try my best and physically work
hard on each challenge.
Explanation of activity Suggested Resources
It should have been sports day
today, so I’d like you to design and
carry out your own sports day.
Step 1:
• Visit the following website
and choose some of the 60
second challenges for people
to complete during your
sports day. You should aim to
complete at least 5
challenges, but you might do
many more!
.org/60-second-physical-
activity-challenges
Step 2:
• Gather any resources that
you will need for your
challenges. Remember to ask
permission from an adult at
home before taking anything
important. You’ll need a timer
for these activities as they
are each 1 minute long.
Step 3:
• Carry out your sports day!
Record how you got on with
each of your challenges by
writing down how many you
managed to complete in 60
seconds (remember to be
honest). You might also
• I have attached 5 cards below
(other section) in case you find
accessing the website difficult.
• I have also attached the challenge
activity tracking sheet if you would
like to use it.
• Resources for the challenges (ball,
markers).
• Timer
record whether you got gold,
silver or bronze.
Step 4:
• Encourage other members of
your family to join in. You
could even do this with
people over video call! Record
their scores too.
Optional Extension:
• Why not create a 60 second
challenge of your own? You’ll
need to give it a name,
describe the activity, list the
resources and say how you
can get a gold, silver or
bronze.
• Share your learning on Teams
by posting a photograph of
you completing one of the
challenges you took part in.
Other Suggested Activities for Today: Check out the daily activities on the
National Youth Choir of Scotland (NYCOS) website. The link below directs you to the
daily videos that have been posted. Scroll down to see which ones you like best and
give the singing and actions a go. Enjoy!
