Page 1 THE COG - RCM Meeting 1590 Bulletin 20 July 2016 Congratulations to the 21 members (63%) who attended the Club meeting on Wednesday 13 July 2016 on a cold and wet winter’s night. 7 members apologised for their inability to attend. Welcomes were extended to David Riggall after an absence of 9 weeks travelling through the north and west of Australia and also to Hartley Symons – a Friend of the Rotary Club of Morialta. Hartley is also a regular attendee at the Community Workshop and is a major contributor to the wooden pens produced at the Workshop. These pens will form part of the gifts to be given to the Rotary Club of Usa when Morialta visits Japan in October this year. Hartley was the winner of the weekly jackpot draw but unfortunately he did not draw out the “lucky” number. The meeting’s guest speaker was Judy Cushway who provided those in attendance with a very informative update on the Club’s website and Face Book products and their respective functionalities. Judy has been undertaking the monitoring and application of these products for over 8 years and the Club is very grateful for the time and energy that Judy contributes to this aspect of the Club’s administration. One of the messages from Judy is for the Members to become active in utilising these resources. Our next meeting will be held at the Rezz on Wednesday 20 July 2016 at 6.30 pm. The guest speaker will be Josh Hallett who will speaking to the Club on “Ending Homelessness”. In addition Graeme Packer will be informing the Club on its responsibilities in relation to providing the BBQ at the opening of the new Aquatic and Recreational Centre (known as “The ARC”) next Sunday 24 July 2016. I encourage as many Members to be available to assist on the day as a large number from the community will be attending to inspect these new first class recreational facilities.
