Prayer Requests • Melba Lankford, who is recovering from surgery • Sharon Webster, who is in St. Thomas West • Loretta Morgan, who is recovering from knee replacement
surgery • Samuel Lewis, who has been diagnosed with two minor,
correctable heart defects and will continue to be monitored • Earl Davidson, who is recovering from pacemaker
replacement surgery • Evelyn Adkins, who is recovering from cataract surgery • Willie Ryland, (brother of Larry Ryland) whose cancer has
spread; is undergoing chemotherapy • Betsy Porter, (mother of David Porter) who is undergoing
tests

We extend our sympathy to Calie Jackson and family in the loss of her mother, Ann Freeze, who passed away Wednesday. A memorial service was held Saturday. She was the grandmother of Sarah Jackson.

Security Training Session
There will be a security training session for those currently
serving on a security team, (as well as anyone who is
interested in participating) on Sunday, August 7 in room
406 ( 2 PM). Kyle Dickerson will lead this training.
Walnut Street Bible Scholarship Program
Automatically approved at Faulkner, Freed-Hardeman,
Harding and Oklahoma Christian
Award amounts for both Bible majors and minors
(or related degrees in the Bible departments
of the schools)
Requirements: • Minimum GPA standards
• Transcripts required annually to validate award
• Students will meet with Walnut Street shepherds
annually for a time of encouragement and prayer
• Eligible for up to $2,000 per year for a maximum of four
years
• Applicants must submit a letter of interest and transcript (including why they are choosing a Bible major/minor
and how it will be used) to Troy Williams.
