From the desk of your Area Governor

Greetings from your Area Governor (AG) Rex Arul. Prior to becoming anArea Governor, I served my home-club Wildwood Toastmasters as itsSergeant-at-Arms, VP&E, and President. When I visit your clubs, I come toyou as one such club leader, more than as anArea Governor.

I believe in empowerment. My personal motto is, "I am empowered, when

others are." Communication is at the heart of any empowerment.

To that end, I am pleased to have a monthly newsletter for our area: TheF63 Crown Courant. Please share it with your Club Leaders and ClubMembers and offer your suggestions for improvement.

Why name it a Crown? Simply becauseyou, our individual clubs -- arethe precious jewels adorning this crown: F63 Area. Consider this: As ofSeptember 10th, we are the only area in Division Fand one of the twoareas in District 44 to have all of our 5 clubs achieve at least oneDCPgoal for this year. This is all made possible, thanks to your leadership thatyou willingly bring to your clubs. Congratulations, but, let us stay thecourse. Let the resplendence of the jewelscontinue to shine throughout

    the year.

We have achieved quite a lot within the past 2 months of our new year.

Within 45 days, we have completed 100% AG visits to all the 5clubs.

F63 was the first in our Division to have its Area Contestscompleted so that our Area winners get more time to practice theirspeeches for their Division F contests.

F63 is also the first Area to have an Assistant Area Governor(AAG). I am glad to introduce to you, our AAG Briana Baynham.

We also had 3 Toastmasters from our Area participate in theGeorgia Public Broadcasting (GPB) event last month.

We are about to launch a new club in our F63 Area, which is all

poised to become the first chartered club for District 44. District 44 also awarded me, your servant-leader, the "Shining Star"

award at its inaugural DEC meeting, which I can only attribute toyou because you invite me to your clubs, answer my emails andphone-calls and you view me as one of your own.

My assistant and I are here to serve you. We will work hard to make (y)ourclubs successful. Your clubs are the arteries and veins of Area F63. We willwork together to make Area F63, comprising the cities of Dunwoody andSandy Springs, a vibrant area for years to come.

My goal is to build relationships. Leadership is all about just that: buildingrelationships. This is also the best antidote for success at your clubs.

And we will build those relationships with brick, mortar, and cement in theform of humility, mutual respect, and communication.

Go F63! Even Sky is NOT our limit!
