Our new regular fashion feature written by our very own Grace Hearn, this week she gives us a ‘dress code for Roehampton’.

(Please note guys that there is no set dress code to any of these events apart from 'Christmas Dinner' and 'Summer Ball'. Everything written above is either personal opinion or observation from fellow Roehamptoners).

Peace and Love, G. x

This is the event where everyone dresses to impress. The day is just casual with girls wearing denim shorts or pretty summer dresses (if the weather holds off) and the guys wearing shorts and tees. However, when the sun goes down this is when you see the guys turn into men and the girls into ladies. Guys to Men - suits, shirt, smart trousers and smart shoes. Girls to Ladies - dresses, heels, cute

pumps, skirts, blazers and smart trousers. This is by far the best event of the year; it is an amazing way to end This is by far the best event of the year; it is an amazing way to end the year with exams nished and just the summer days and nights to look forward to. Check out the Facebook Page; Southland's College Snaps for a look at last year’s Summer Ball outts.

Every College on the Roehampton Campus will have a Christmas dinner, Southland's included. It’s a great way to celebrate making it through your rst semester at

Roehampton and a lovely, festive way to say goodbye to any international students that are swimming away from the Shiver of Sharks. This is the most formal event of the rst semester with most choosing formal wear, consisting of shirt and suit jacket and dresses and heels. Again, check out the and suit jacket and dresses and heels. Again, check out the Facebook Page; Southland's College Snaps for a look at last

year’s Southland's Christmas Dinner outts.

Every one loves good old Fez. Since I started at Roehampton 2 years ago, the formality of Fez has denitely reduced. Again most Fez nights are themed or used as social nights for societies to create their own themes and dress codes. Like Bop, almost anything goes. Most girls tend to wear a cute dress or a skirt and top with ats on their feet and for guys it's just jeans and a tee. I personally still enjoy wearing wedges with a bit of a heel as it is a club off Campus, so I like wedges with a bit of a heel as it is a club off Campus, so I like

to feel and dress a bit more glam.

Bop is probably the least dressy regular event that we have at Roehampton. It’s similar to a school disco, so you can get away with wearing almost anything. Nearly every week is themed, from Geek Bop to 999 Bop, to my one of my personal favourites, 'Onesie Bop'. (Do not miss out on this night; just think how

perfect it will be when you get back from bop and all you have to do is jump into bed, already dressed in your onesie!) Over the last 2 years, Bop has got increasingly more relaxed in terms of last 2 years, Bop has got increasingly more relaxed in terms of outts, with most people, especially girls wearing converse, vans or just some comfy pumps allowing them to dance the night away whilst not having to worry about the aching of feet!

Grand is probably the dressiest regular event that we have at Roehampton. Grand is only once a month and I think it’s the best night out due to the size and setting of the club. The Grand was originally used as a music hall in 1900 and over the years it has served as a cinema, bingo hall and night club. Due to it being an out of Roehampton campus event, most girls tend to wear dresses and heels with most guys wearing jeans and a shirt, making it one of the 'classier' guys wearing jeans and a shirt, making it one of the 'classier'

nights out. Christmas Grand; don't miss it!

The Union is open every day for anyone to pop in and have a pint, a pub lunch or just a catch up with friends. Almost anything is acceptable at the Union as it’s a place for you to pop in whenever you want. A cosy jumper and some jeans are great for a night spent listening to Karaoke or gulping back snake bites. *Snake Bite is the number one drink at Roehampton*
