About us GSV is a unique platform in Austria advocating an effici- ent sustainable multimodal transport infrastructure as a basis for economic growth and continuous welfare for our citizens. Austrian Association for Transport and Infrastructure Mission and Goals GSV’s work is based on the conclusion that any further growth of transport of goods and people will have to be largely decoupled from the growth of available space for transport infrastructure. Better use of existing transport infrastructure, efficient interfaces between transport mo- des, intelligent transport systems and innovative financing ideas for building and maintaining a sustainable multimo- dal transport infrastructure are in the focus of our work. In particular GSV is supporting Provision of adequate financial resources for maintai- ning an efficient transport infrastructure. Innovative financing tools have to be considered. The Platform for Mobility Implementation of Intelligent Transport Systems as a basis for efficient transport management both ser- ving the needs of industry and of travelling citizens. Relevant and reliable information is key to this pro- cess. Recognition and further development of the strengths of each single transport carrier and create optimum conditions for switching from one trans- port mode to another. “If we are to deliver economic growth and ensure people can eat, get to work and enjoy leisure time, we need to deliver a sustainable, safe and ef- ficient transport network. The Platform for Mobility

• Promotion of stakeholder dialogue – by sti-mulating open debates among stakehol-ders and members on important issu-es. Different settings are proposed.

• Panel discussions – controversial topics are dis-cussed among experts and the public thus trying to restrict manipulation of citizens by single ideologi-cally driven opinions.

• Results are disseminated to opinion leaders and media.

• Fact sheets – presentation and dissemination of Facts and Figures on important topics including re-commendations for action.

• Lobbying the goals of GSV and its members at re-lated political institutions, the media, NGOs and other interested parties.

• „Yearbook Mobility“: Our yearly publication con-tains reports about all aspects of transport policy and infrastructure. This publication is distributed to

leading personalities in the mobility sector.
