Welcome

Who Does God Call Us to Be? We are a vibrant, warm and welcoming community of faith. Those who worship here come from a diverse range of backgrounds and would describe themselves in a rich variety of ways.

We acknowledge our doubt, our struggles, and that we are all quite human and imperfect and that we are each at a unique place on our faith journey.

We find our unity, our common identity, in Jesus Christ and together we seek to joyfully worship God and energetically minister to the needs of the world on God’s behalf.

We gather in anticipation of being transformed by the power, purpose and presence of God among us, and go forth equipped to love God and neighbor more deeply and more whole-heartedly.

We believe that faithful leadership of a church requires being open to new possibilities, tak-ing risks and learning from mistakes as we try again.

Honoring the past, we are convinced that God calls us to a new future.

~The Opening Paragraph of Vision 2017 of the Presbyterian Church in Basking Ridge

Ecuador 2016 Mission Trip For the 7th time, BRPC will send a mission team to work in Ecuador, from June 26 to July 2, 2016. The team will return for the third time to work in La Union, a severely impoverished is-land barrio in the Guayas River. We have continued to serve the people of La Union since the 2014 mission trip by providing and training all the families in the use of Sawyer Water Filters; providing 2 nurses to run the health clinic we built in 2014; and the building of a community education center, that was completed in October and is in full use. We are currently working with Hogar de Cristo on a project which will bring sanitation to La Union through supplying and building of 20 ecological, composting toilets. Our core work continues to be building sim-ple cane houses for families as well as working in these other projects. If you enjoy hard work, fulfilling service and working with people and are interested in joining the team, please email or call Judy or Michael Pasnik at [email protected] - 908-568-6343.

Opportunities to Give and Serve

Homeless Solutions –2016 Dates “Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” –Luke 6:38

During difficult times there is nothing better to keep our minds off of our own troubles then to reach out and help someone in need. Homeless Solutions provides shelter for homeless men, women, families and Safe Haven guests. The mission council is seeking volunteers to prepare and serve dinner to these families at the shelter. Volunteers need to arrive at the shelter by 4 p.m. and dinner is served at 6 p.m. Clean up is done by the shelter residents. All menus are pre-planned or you may prepare your favorite specialty. One volunteer is also needed to shop for the groceries and all receipts are submitted to the church for reimbursement. If you feel called to this very special ministry please contact Karen Cokewood for additional details at 908-221-9323. Mark your calendars for our 2016 dates: April 30, July 2 and September 3.
