Anointing of the Sick
Anointing of the Sick is for all those who are in danger due to sickness or old age. Anointing confers forgiveness of sins, conforms us to Christ who suffered, and comforts us with his healing grace. It can be repeated for each illness or when con-ditions worsen. Anointing will be availa-ble after all Masses December 21 & 22.
STA/HNM Parish Offices will be
closed Monday, December 23, -
Friday, December 27, for Christ-
mas Holiday. And the Parish Of-
fices will be closed Tuesday, De-
cember 31, and Wednesday, Janu-
ary 1, for the New Year Holiday.
Are you or someone you know expecting? At the STA & HNM weekend masses, De-cember 21-22, the Blessing of the Child in the Womb will be given at the end of each mass. Please consider coming forward for the blessing. The parish community re-joices with you at the gift of your new child! In addition to the mothers, the fa-thers and other family members are also included in the prayer of blessing. Anyone can receive this blessing anytime thru-out the year, please contact the Parish Office at 270-692-3019.
Marriage Moments As we approach Christmas, it's easy to be-
come "busy-holics" and race to prepare deco-
rations, presents, and food. When feeling
stressed with yourself or your spouse, pause,
take a deep breath, and "Be patient." (James
5:7)
Parenting Pointers Tomorrow, Dec. 21, is the longest night of the year - and
not only because kids are getting antsy about Christmas.
Celebrate the darkness with candles. Perhaps make a
"pilgrimage" through your home carrying a candle and re-
flecting on the holiness of each room and person.
Please Pray for the Sick
Please call the Parish Office (270-692-3019, ext. 6) to request for someone to added to this prayer list.
Thanks!

Catholic Charities
Collection
The annual collection for Catholic Charities will be
taken up in our parish this weekend—December
21/22. This collection supports the local services of
Catholic Charities in the Archdiocese of Louisville.
Your generosity helps to fund many vital ministries
and social services, including the Sister Visitor Cen-
ter, the Mother-Infant Care program, the Bakhita
Empowerment Initiative to combat human traffick-
ing, Migration and Refugee Services, Common
Earth Gardens, and Common Table. Please give
generously when the Catholic Charities Collection is
taken up at our parishes.
Our clustered parishes’ next communal celebra-
tion will be January 18/19, 2020. Parents, as
well as Godparents, are to attend the Prepara-
tion Session on Tuesday, January 14, 6:30 p.m.,
at St. Augustine Parish
Center. For more infor-
mation or to register,
please contact the Parish
Office at 270-692-3019.
Third Sunday of Advent
“Strengthen the feeble hands, make firm the feeble knees. Say to those who are of a fearful heart: Be strong, fear
not!... Your God will come and save you.” Isaiah 35:3-4
Saint Theresa of Avila reminds us that Christ has no body on earth but ours, no hands but ours, no feet but ours. When the
weak and fearful come into our lives, it is through our hands and our works that they are healed. God works through us when
we accept the challenge.
Advertisers of the Week . . . Did you know?
Our bulletin is provided to our parish by Diocesan at NO COST!
The advertisers that you see on the back of the bulletin purchase
ads that cover the cost of our bulletin. We are very grateful to all
of them. We encourage you to look at the many advertisers in our
bulletin. Patronize their businesses and let them know you appre-
ciate their support.
