FROM THE PRESIDENT

My personal favorite event of the year is coming up this month. It’s the Builder Buck Auction; that time when we get to spend all the Builder Bucks we have accumulated throughout the year going to events and participating in the various functions of the St. Croix Valley Home Builders Association. We all received some extra bucks in the mail as well as a few we may have over-looked asking for when we participated. On the back of each Buck there is a list of how to earn these dollars. It also lists the rules and one of the “rules” is that you are to ask the Executive Officer for the Bucks you have earned. However, since it has been awhile since we have reviewed the rules, our Executive Officer, Alisha, has decided to give some Grace-Bucks to all of us. This ups the ante a little on the bidding so I hope to see you all out there!!!

The items we auction are donated by participating members so I would like to invite you all to bring a fun or functional item to the auction. Gift Cards are popular items, as well.

The Builder Buck Auction is a great opportunity for relaxed and fun socializing as well as…SHOPPING! OK, that may not get everyone excited like it does me, but I think everyone loves the chance to catch up with friends and associates after the busy summer besides getting a chance to be in on the auction with some hard-earned dollars.

Thank you all for the efforts you put out to make this a great association. I hope I get to see you on October 24th!

Royal Credit Union Gives Back

business consulting and advising, networking events and an array of programming. Primary project partners include the River Falls Economic Development Corporation, the City of River Falls, the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, and Chippewa Valley Technical College. The $3.95 million building is projected to be completed by January 2018 and is located on 3.7 acres in Sterling Ponds Corporate Park, north of River Falls, WI.”

GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS

Thank you to all who made it out for the Dinner Cruise on September 26th. It was a cool, cloudy night, but the views were beautiful and it was fun to see the new bridge up close.

There are two October events to add to your calendar. The first is the annual Clay Shoot, on Tuesday, October 10th. Shooting begins at 3:00 pm and wraps up with dinner. Come out and practice your shot before pheasant opener.

October 26th is the Builder Buck Auction, with a casual pizza and beer dinner. You should have received some bonus Bucks in the mail. Bring these, along with any you have earned throughout the year, and be ready to bid on your favorite items. Register on-line here or by contacting Alisha.

Our November GMM will be held on Tuesday the 14th. Harvey Kessel from the WBA Executive Committee will be in attendance to swear in the 2018 Officers and Directors. Registration will be open later this month.

Planning is underway for the 2018 Spring Expo and Tour of Homes. Mark your calendars now and check the website later this month for more information and contracts for both events. The 2018 Spring Tour of Homes will be held Saturdays and Sundays February 24th – March 25th. The 2018 Spring Expo will be Saturday and Sunday March 24th and 25th with a Builders’ Expo on Friday night.

First Ever Virtual Member Meeting Day
