The aim of the visit was to become familiar with the project developments since the previous monitoring visit, to have an insight into the achievement of project objectives and possible obstacles or problems encountered during project implementation. The aim was also to have an insight into the foreseeable project results that can be achieved by the end of the project lifetime.

The Monitoring visit of the Erasmus+ KA2 – CBHE project “Enhancement of HE research potential contributing to further growth of the WB region” was undertaken by the National Erasmus + Office on December 22 2017 at the premises of the Rectorate of the University of Montenegro. The aim of the visit was to become familiar with the project developments since the previous monitoring visit, to have an insight into the achievement of project objectives and possible obstacles or problems encountered during project implementation. Prof.Irena Orović, as the newly appointed project coordinator gave an overview of project activities implemented within the project and other activities realized at the University of Montenegro that are complementary with project objectives. As a representative of the newly appointed management team at the University of Montenegro and the President of the Scientific Board of the University of Montenegro, prof. Orović emphasized the importance and the relevance of project objectives for further enhancement of research potential at UoM. Prof. Dijana Vučković presented the conclusions of the coordination meeting held in Sarajevo at the beginning of November. The plans for the realization of project activities were presented, with a special focus on those pertaining to the preparation of the application for obtaining the HR Exellence in Resarch label and the timeline of the planned activities. The overview of finances was given by Nikola Pavlović, financial officer. Ms Ana Dragutinović informed the attendees on the reports submitted to the project coordinator.

NEO representatives expressed their satisfaction with the expressed plans and emphasized the need for wider dissemination of project results both at the level of the university and the level of other universities in Montenegro. They also pointed out the possibility to connect the project activities related to establishment of links with the scientific diaspora with similar activities undertaken at the level of the university and the national level.
