    Our Coffee Time was a HUGE hit!

    For the next few weeks we are having a chair testing area.Before we put money into permanent seating, we want to knowmore about how it might be used...and that is where you come in.Feel free to move things about, and see what feels right. Watch forsome concept drawings of what our actual coffee house might looklike and let us know what you think.

    We are also trying a Jamba Juice smoothiearea. We are serving kid-sized smoothies (forkids of any age!) today for $2 and the 12-oz.size for $3. Please fill out our questionnaire togive us your thoughts! Help

    Last Sunday was a remarkable day in the history of Chaparral. From the early

    morning breakfast to the adult classes, children classes, youth programs, Sanctuaryand Watermark worship services, meet-and-greet coffee and smoothie time, one-year Bible program, and the fabulous finale of the Stained Glass Teen Choirperformance of Joseph April 7th was truly an extraordinary day. Each and everyone of our ministers and staff members put in extra hours during the past severalweeks to make our campus attractive and welcoming and the start of our newschedule successful. Countless volunteers are to be commended as well. Thankyou all for your superb efforts. The presence of Christ was felt at Chaparral!" Larry Gettman

    Youth Summer Camp Information - Sign Up by May 5th!!!

    Middle School (6th-8th grade) June 2-7 at UCYC in Prescott.

    High School July 8-13 CIYin La Mirada, CA on Biola's campus.

    May 5th is the deadline to sign up for both camps. Depositswill be due that same date to ensure spots for students.For the UCYC middle school camp the deposit will be $160,

    and for high school camp it will be $170. If you would liketo look into scholarship opportunities, please let me knowas soon as possible." Katy

    The Men's Ministry is prepping for theannual retreat in Sedona April 19-21.My friend, Jason Powell, and I will beleading the three primary teachingsessions on the topic of "Wholenessand Holiness." The cost is $87 foradults and its half price for teens who come with their dad. Thecost covers all lodging and food expenses.     On November 3rd, 2013, a group of Christian, Jewish,Muslim and Buddhist travelers will be participating in atrip to Israel. It may be one of the most important studyprograms and working tours we will experience as we

    bring together people of multiple religious backgroundsand traditions to share open dialogue about our faith.We would love for you to join us! Our deadline foradding additional travelers is May 6th. Dr. FrankShirvinski and Rabbi Jessica Zimmerman-Graf have

    agreed to join Danny Ehrlich as our leaders. Our time will include hands onexperience with a working kibbutz. We have also been granted specialpermission for an excavation process near Jerusalem. Contact StevenDietz or Frank Shirvinski for additional information.

    Interfaith Trip to Israel

    Frank Shirvinski started a new class onWednesday night called Iron. Join us fora fun and open exploration of the basic principles and practicesof Christianity. We will use everything from clips from the Matrixto readings from Annie Dillard. We will meet for no more than anhour beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the East Hall. Childcare can be

    Communion/Lords Supper

    All followers of Christ are welcome to participate in our Service of

    Communion. If you have prepared yourself for this very special moment with

    our Savior, you are invited to his table. (1 Corinthians 11:23-30) Please take

    the emblems as they are passed and partake when you are ready. Some

    prefer to take it while it is in front of them before passing it along.

    Offering

    In all of our services, a special time for giving is set aside. Participation is an

    act of worship and voluntary.

    We have a friendly, well-staffed and impeccably clean nursery located on
