MOM (Morning Out for Mom)Calling all moms with infants and young children. MOMmeets the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from9:15-11:45 a.m. Childcare is provided at the Church byreservation. Kick-off meeting will be at Paradise Bakery, NEcorner of Tatum and Shea - Wednesday, September 21. Come meet some other Moms and enjoy a relaxing Momtime. I want candy!!! Autumnfest coming October 28th!!You felt the first of the cooler weather and you know what thatmeans - Autumnfest is just around the corner! StartingOctober 2nd, we will be collecting candy and prizes (trinkets)for our games as well as signing up spots to help staff thiscommunity event. Chaparral Basics ClassAre you new to Chaparral? Do youhave a friend you've been meaning

to invite to church?We are offering a Chaparral BasicsClass on two Sunday evenings,September 18 and 25 from 5:00 -6:00 in the Conference Room. These classes will be taught byour Senior Minister, Frank Shirvinski.

The classes will be a great way to find out more about our Church,its history, what we believe and the many ministry opportunities weoffer. You will also have the chance to meet many of the people onstaff at Chaparral. Come for one or both classes! We would lovethe opportunity to get to know you more, and tell you more aboutwho we are!

Childcare will be provided, but we need to know how many childrenyou will bring and what their ages are. Please call Adrienneat 480-991-9878 to let her know. The class will wrap up with aConnections Dinner, whi ch will be on Sunday , September 29.

• Communion/Lord’s Supper All followers of Christ are welcome to participate in our Service of Communion.If you have prepared yourself for this very special moment with our Savior, youare invited to his table. (1 Corinthians 11:23-30) Please take the emblems asthey are passed and partake when you are ready. Some prefer to take it whileit is in front of them before passing it along.

• Offering In our first two services, a special time for giving is set aside. Participation is anact of worship and voluntary. During our third service there will not be a timespecific for offering but rather boxes are placed at the entry to allow for givingas you are led.

• NurseryWe have a friendly, well-staffed and impeccably clean nursery located on thenorth side of the narthex. Please see an usher for directions
