    AUTUMNFEST!Autumnfest is just around the corner! Plan tojoin us Friday night, October 25th. We are

    collecting bags of candy NOW and we needLOTS! This event is FREE (except for the food)and open to the community. Start thinking of

    families and friends you want to introduce toChaparral and join us for a GREAT time!

    We need LOTS of candy andvolunteers!

    Whats the Hoopla All About?? It is our Wednesday night programfor Jr. and Sr. High students. All students are invited to join us at7:00 each Wednesday night. Bring a friend! Each Wednesdaynight is different and can include worship, games, etc. OnOctober 23rd we will be making the Tunnel of Fun for Autumnfest!

    Join the C.I.A Today! (Christians In Action)

    Make a real difference by joining a group of ourpreschool parents and staff who are workingtogether to commit anonymous random acts ofkindness throughout the school, Church andcommunity. Nicole Moran, the weekdayPreschool Director, will lead this group throughshort daytime meetings and emails. The firstmeetings are October 7th & 8th (pick one) at9:30 a.m. in the Preschool office. We will move intothe Church Toddler Room if you want to bring your little ones. Can'tmake the meetings but want to participate, then sign up forinformational emails at [email protected].

    Saguaro Club Chili Luncheon!

    Saturday, October 19th, at noon! Join us for some ofAnita Masters famous chili and then stay for some livelygames: dominoes, cards, etc. You are asked to bring a

    salad to share. The chili and ice cream will be provided!Sign up at the south counter!

    The Saguaro Club is a lively group of retired(and wannabe retired) adults who encourageeach other to stay active.

    Faithbuilders Class RoundUp!

    After the 9:00 a.m. service on October 20thplease join us for a lunch at the Cartwrighthome! Burgers and dogs, beverages andpaper goods will be provided. Bring afavorite side dish to share! For moreinformation, see Mary Cartwright.

    The Faithbuilders Class has been meeting for a number ofyears, but it is always a welcoming place for newcomers to

    become connected in the Church family. The class meetsSundays at 8:00 a.m. in the East Hall.

    Communion/Lords Supper

    All followers of Christ are welcome to participate in our Service of

    Communion. If you have prepared yourself for this very special moment with

    our Savior, you are invited to his table. (1 Corinthians 11:23-30) Please take

    the emblems as they are passed and partake when you are ready. Some

    prefer to take it while it is in front of them before passing it along.

    Offering

    In all of our services, a special time for giving is set aside. Participation is an

    act of worship and voluntary.

    Nursery

    We have a friendly, well-staffed and impeccably clean nursery located on

    the north side of the narthex. Please see an usher for directions.
