DESCRIPTION
UAB Athletics' plans for a new football operation facility.
Citation preview
Thanks to the outpouring of support shown by alumni and community members, the UAB Blazers are entering a new era in athletics. As we celebrate the return of football, bowling and rifle, we remain focused on securing the financial resources necessary for athletics facilities to position our student-athletes to compete for championships, while
earning a degree from this outstanding institution.
DRIVE SUCCESS. UAB Athletics prepares more than 350 student-athletes for life beyond college, grooming the medical professionals, teachers, engineers, creatives, and and future business leaders of Birmingham.
DRIVE EXCITEMENT. UAB is Birminghams team, serving as a rallying point for sports fans and attracting visitors to our vibrant city.
DRIVE ATTENTION. Successful athletics programs provide a platform to tell the story of UAB and Birmingham.
DRIVE THE ECONOMY. Whats good for UAB is good for Birmingham. Competitive athletics programs drive enrollment and enhance UABs economic impact in Birmingham and surrounding communities. It is estimated that for every 1,000 UAB students, there is a total annual economic impact of nearly $50 Million.
DRIVE LOYALTY. A memorable athletics experience creates lasting memories for students, leading to a lifelong relationship between UAB and its alumni.
