It is night, the disciples are fishing for their food but catch nothingWith the sunrise, Jesus directs their efforts and they find great suc-cess. Some say 153 represents all people, the universalism ofChrist’s invitation. The net, the church does not tear with theabundance of diversity. This encounter with Jesus at breakfaststrengthens and nourishes the disciples to carry out the mission ofproclaiming God’s mercy, which invites all to be united in Christ.Do we allow God to nourish us in the Eucharist and other sacra-ments? Where is the Risen Lord leading you to speak of his love? Will we share the light of Christ with others?

PRIEST reassignments—Fr. ed
After eight years as the Director here at the UCCI will be moving on to another assignment at theend of June. The plan right now is that by Fall2017, if not sooner, I will be taking over as Di-
rector of Campus Ministry at Ohio State Univer-sity in Columbus, OH. This will allow me to becloser to my mom who turns 83 this summer.
She will only be a three-hour drive away. This fall I will be taking asabbatical at the Redemptorist Retreat Center in Tucson, AZ. Inthe 27 years of my priesthood, I have not had a sabbatical, andwhile I will miss continuing in the ministry here, I look forward torenewing my spiritual life with a ten week course on spiritualityand prayer in the midst of the Arizona desert :)
We are fortunate to know who will most likely be taking myplace, and we will be able to transition very well. We willannounce his name later in May when all of the assignments are
official. By then we should also be able to announce who will bereplacing Father Jamie. I am confident that the Paulists who willreplace us will be very good for the community. While building onwhat we have been able to accomplish these past years they will
bring their own good gifts of leadership to the community.
May God bless us all in this time of transition.

So, let’s make the remaining time awesome through Christ’sencounter. Amen!!!
