in performance soling. Our founder, Vitale Bramani, lived in Milan, Italy, and created

the first rubber sole ever used on a mountaineering boot, that forever changed the way

people move up, down and across the Earth.

What followed is an undeniable success story: years of research and the production

of millions of soles for the best shoes in the industry led Vibram to its next milestone.

In 2005, Vibram introduced the next generation of performance sole design: one

that can help us to be healthier, more aware of our body, and more connected to

our environment. Vibram FiveFingers® was born.

Challenging the paradigm of conventional footwear, this thin, flexible, and

deconstructed sole allows the feet and toes to curl and flex as nature intended.

It is because of these features, that every step taken in Vibram FiveFingers is a

lesson in texture and biomechanics that can assist in making us more connected

to our environment.

FiveFingers get you back to basics. They are simple, comfortable and allow for a new
