Days spent at the Military Training Camp ………… The Military Training Camp organised by Amity University at their Manesar campus was
attended by us in the month of March for six days. It was a wonderful adventurous expe-
rience of the lifetime.
For the very first time I had gone somewhere without my family members. It was also the
first time I had attended any camp. I made new friends there and I experienced a great
time over there with friends. When we heard the whistle every time we had to assemble
for any activity and dressed up in the uniform we felt like the real military people. We
marched to the ground everyday in the morning and even in the evening.
We were keen and fortunate to experience the shooting, crossing obstacles, rock climb-
ing, parasailing, zorbing, rappelling. We spend six days with so much of fun and enjoyed
a lot with friends from our institute and other institutions and as well as the military peo-
ple. We were fortunate and blessed to attend the camp which was like a lifetime achieve-
ment. We enjoyed eating food with others and also raised our patriotic feeling. Jai Hind !

Our college had organized a six day trip to MILITARY TRAINING CAMP at Manesar. The trip was from 2nd march 2014 to 7th
march 2014. After reaching there we were given our military dresses which we had to wear every day. Also the utensils and other
useful things were provided to all of us. We had to live in tents in groups of 7-8 people and we were free to decide our tent mates.
The tent area for the girls and the boys was separate. Other students from different campus of AMITY UNIVERSITY had also
come. It felt so good after wearing that military dress. We were told about the schedule for the next six days. On the first day
itself the whole groups was divided into PLATOONS. The platoon leaders were chosen and also the Commander of all the pla-
toons was chosen. We also had the privilege of seeing “THE DOG SHOW”. Next day in the morning we were taken to the
ground for some physical activities and also we were trained for “THE MARCH PAST”. We also had a few lectures by different
ARMY PERSONNELS. Each day passed and every day I was able to learn more and more. Many adventurous activities were
also organized for all of us like- Para sailing, Rock climbing, Rappelling, Zorbing, Obstacles, Shooting etc. On the last day there
was the FINAL DRILL for the March Past and our platoon that is PLATOON 1 won this competition. Our guide our mentor Shiv
Charan sir made this happen by training us so hard and telling each one of us our mistakes. After that debate competition was
held in the seminar hall in which again our platoon backed the first and the third prize. This was actually a life time experience
for all of us and we got to know so much about our INDIAN ARMY which none of the books could have ever taught anybody.
None of us wanted to go back to our home as we were enjoying so much over there. But as it is said that every good thing comes
to an end someday sometime. We had become so strong after living this ARMY LIFE for six long days that we felt that we can
do anything after doing all this training. I wish I can go there once more !!

Experience at Military Training Camp
I would like to share my MTC experience which was really awesome and is the best part of B.Ed from Amity Institute of Educa-
tion, New Delhi. The training gives you the unique type of confidence that you need to develop in yourself while facing the obsta-
cle in life. While performing some impossible tasks like Rock Climbing, Rappelling, Hurdles and Obstacles which seemed to be
impossible were done very well. By this we can say that things in life which we think we can’t do at one point of time are achieva-
ble and possible. The MTC had really built a lot of confident and daring attitude in my life. One thing more I would like to share
was that the discipline they taught us was really needed in life. The training camp was a good learning experience and helped us in
our overall development as a teacher and gives the confidence which we need in our profession. These obstacles also let me think
that the things which we are dealing with will come to an end at last. There were many more experiences which I know will really
going to be beneficial in life ahead.
