MISSION OPPORTUNITY: My name is Truitt Pierce and I am Walt and Wendi Pene’s youngest son. I attend Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas where I am double majoring in Cognitive Neuroscience and leadership ministry. I have an opportunity next summer to study abroad and do mission work for 3 months of 2016. It is a once in a lifetime experience and I am very excited to represent my community and church family. CHURCH BUSINESS: A business meeting will be held during both services today to vote on the nominees and Pastor Search Team. The nominees are: Angie Smith, Richard Gunkel, Jane Fabian, Mindy Holloway, Rod Burgett, and David Sparkman. Also, the following two newly nominated members of the Properties Committee will be voted on for approval; Donna Bownds and John Everett. The first is for a vacant position, the other to replace Pete Riojas who was chosen to serve on the Leadership Team. In addition, we will be voting on the election of Sandy Peters to the Leadership Team as chairman of the Deacons. Sandy was accidentally left off of the ballot during the elections that were held on June 28th.

FIRST SINGERS RETREAT: August 22nd from 4-8PM. We will start our new year with new CD’s of our choir songs plus the Christmas musical for the year. If you are interested in singing in the choir please call the church office and get on the list and come to the choir retreat. KIDZVILLE is for children ages Nursery to 6th Grade

LITTLE BITS AND KINDER CHURCH: Will be meeting in Kidz Church during the summer. We will be working on Scripture Memory and playing games to help us remember. We will be meeting together and will resume the separate classes in the fall.

KIDZ CHURCH: We will break for the summer and start back services on August 23rd.

MISSION MONDAY’S FOR 55+: July 20, August 3rd and 10th we still need volunteers to help us put together materials for wrist -bands for a missions project to the Philippines. We will meet from 10AM-12 noon in Room 219, a light lunch will be provided. Please contact Gary Koerner or the church office at 832-4511 if you would like to serve on these days.

OKLAHOMA MUSICAL: August 14th the musical Oklahoma will be showing at the amphitheater and tickets are $23. Please purchase tickets here at the church by August 9th. We need these purchased ahead of time in order to assure seating.

THE LIVING ROOM is for College Aged Students

OUTCRY TOUR: We are attending Outcry Tour featuring Hillsong United, Bethel Music, Passion, Lauren Daigle, Trip Lee, DJ Promote, Nick Hall & Shaun Groves in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The concert is Wednesday, August 5th. We will drive to Tulsa on Wednesday and return Thursday. Tickets are $25 each. Turn your money in to Kelsey to reserve your spot. Only 12 spots available.

THE LIVING ROOM AT THE POOL: Join us for a pool party at the home of Bailie Phares (6902 76th Street) Tuesday, July 21st at 7:00PM. Pizza and drinks provided.

You must realize that God loves you but you are separated from God by a sinful nature.

Roman 3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

You must believe that God sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ as a payment for sin.

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Although humanity through sin has separated itself from God, the sacrifice of Jesus, on the cross, bridged that gap.

Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Jesus Christ died for us.”

All that God asks is that you repent (turn away) from your sins and accept the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made on the cross for those sins.

Romans 10:9 “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
