Learning Goals: Reading: -practice “magic e” and vowel pair words -learn about similes -read many Christmas books -review adjectives Math: -add 2 to even and odd numbers -review place value (hundreds, tens, ones) -sorting and counting pattern blocks used -practice all math facts learned so far Writing: -handwriting practice -Writers’ Workshop & journaling - work on capitals Gingerbread Houses A HUGE THANKS to all our fabulous volunteers for spending time building some amazing gingerbread houses and some memories, too! Thanks also for donating decorating materials! The kids had a blast! Classroom Book Exchange If you would like your child to participate in our class book exchange, please send in a wrapped book valued from $3- $5 by Wednesday, Dec. 19th. Be sure to label the book from your child. The books will be exchanged during our holiday party.
