REMOTE TEACHING SESSION: 10.30am – 11.30am daily

Grade 2 students will receive a 1 hour face to face remote teaching session with their teacher each day. These sessions will

be run using Webex and will focus on Reading, Writing, Maths or Inquiry.

The link to your child’s Webex meeting is listed in the table below. Instructions on how to access your child’s Webex meeting

are available on Sentral.

Advice for accessing your child’s Webex meeting:

Please log on 5 minutes before the start time.

Ask your child to organise the resources they will need prior to the start time.

When signing in, please use your child’s name as this will be the name displayed to their teacher during the meeting.

The schools are now open but, this year, at mine, the teachers and students are meeting online.

It’s quite a bit different, but I think it’s cool, since this way I’ll never be tardy to school.

Arrays

We have been looking at arrays.

Today you are going to make your

own arrays.

You will need

a dice



My mom doesn’t yell at me, making a fuss that, if I don’t hurry, I might miss the bus.

To meet with my teacher or talk to my tutor, I roll out of bed and turn on the computer.

I don’t need my backpack, my shoes, or my coat. It saves so much time when your school is remote.

1. Read the poem ‘Online is Fine’ by Kenn Nesbit or listen to it being read using this link

number of rows (there are 5 rows

2) Roll the dice again, this will tell

you how many are in each row

(there are 4 in each row in the

3) Draw your array and write the

multiplication sentence above your

array (5 x 4 is written above our

Repeat this 6 times so you have 6

different arrays.

the planner to make a dice if you

do not have one at home.
