Spring 2019Important Dates and Deadlines

Welcome to Grossmont College!A message from the president

H appy New Year andwelcome to the spring 2019 semester! The start of a new year is a time when we often resolve to make improvements. Fittingly, our college’s updated vision– or resolution – is “transforming lives through education.” We resolve to help you pursue your dreams, whether you’re embarking on your college experience, continuing your pursuit of your educational goals or updating your skills for a new career. Our college is also transforming itself, as evidenced by the construction taking place. The Performing and Visual Arts Center is in its last year of construction, and Bldg. 31 is undergoing renovations so it can better serve our students’ needs. Just like previous students got by during the construction of today’s amazing facilities, I thank you for your patience during the inconvenience of

today’s construction. Please know that future students of Grossmont College will thank you. In your pursuit of your best self, I hope you will look into all the opportunities available to you at our college in addition to the excellent instructional programs. From career planning and transfer counseling to tutoring and the support of our grad coaches, we deeply care about your development as a student and future professional. Successful students take advantage of every resource available to them and all it takes is a small investment of time to learn what support services are available. So, please visit Bldg. 10, 60 and 70 where many of our student support services are located. Your success here will only be enhanced by doing so. I wish you success in pursuing your dreams with passion and commitment.

Nabil Abu-Ghazaleh, Ed. D.President
