E Pluribus Unum - by Chaplain Paul“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave
nor free, there is neither male or female; for you are allone in Christ Jesus”
Galatians 3:28
Long before the U.S. adopted the motto, E PluribusUnum (out of many one), the apostle Paul wrote inGalatians that we are all one in Jesus Christ. One. I have written and spoken about the importance ofunity within the church and our country. I havecontinually pointed out that there is no need forhyphenated Americans nor hyphenated Christians. It issilly, senseless and destructive. Within the last eight years Saul Alinsky's
teachings, those teachings and rules advancing Vladimir Lenin's original scheme forworld conquest, have been promoted by the current administration. Those tenets include taking control of religion, education and healthcare. Itspecifically states that if a government controls healthcare that it will control thepeople. The tenets also advocate class warfare stating that when you “divide” thepeople into the wealthy and poor you will cause more discontent to tax the wealthy withthe support of the poor. It further promotes adding to the national debt in order toincrease poverty. It firmly states that the poor who are dependent on welfare areeasier to “govern” than those who are self-sufficient. Therefore it is not surprising that both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton wereboth students of Saul Alinsky and that Alinsky's book, Rules for Radicals was“dedicated” to “Lucifer”, the first radical. These “rules”, those tenets, are directly opposed to the teachings of JesusChrist and must be rejected by all Christians. “There is neither Jew nor Greek”, we are all one. Jesus instructs us to love, tohelp, to support, to edify. To be His Image on earth. To be a light in a very dark world. How are we doing to that end? If you follow Christ, it is time to put on His Armor and go forward. “We can doall things through Christ who strengthens us.” It is our duty and obligation to heal ournation.
In His Service,Chaplain Paul

Scot GoldbergBikers vs. Car - Who causes More Wrecks? By Scot D. Goldberg
Personal Injury Attorney and ABATE Peace River Chapter Member
Ever wonder who’s to blame more often in an accidentinvolving a car and a motorcycle? Bikers are on a relentlessjourney to make drivers aware of the motorcycles aroundthem on the road through public service messages and bumperstickers. And many car drivers think that bikers don’t doenough to avoid crashes, citing unsafe and reckless bikerbehavior they may have encountered.
Well, apparently the Florida Department of Transportationwas curious, too, and did a study to find out who was at faultin the majority of car vs. bike motor vehicle accidents.
FDOT officials commissioned The University of South Florida’s Center for Urban Transportation Researchto analyze 10 years’ worth of stats on motorcycle crashes in Florida from 2000 to 2010, and the findingswere recently published. According to the study, car and truck drivers are the cause of a crash between abike and a four-wheeled vehicle in the majority of cases – 60% of the time. The head researcher on thestudy noted that there appeared to be “a bias by people driving – they don’t expect to see motorcycles”.
That last statement is one that ticks off a lot of bikers, and for good reason. Real motorcycle enthusiastsknow that educating their four-wheeled “cagers” is an uphill, never-ending process. (Sure, there are somebikers out there that ride with a disregard for safety, but they are by far in the minority). Along with theFDOT, there are dozens of other organizations of bikers throughout Florida that offer and abide by saferiding instruction and educational resources, and promote aggressive motorist education about watching outfor motorcycles.
Here are some other stats discovered in the research:
∙ Most common accident – motorists make a left turn in front of a biker they failed to see∙ Distracted or unaware car drivers are the cause of most car vs. bike crashes∙ People with motorcycle endorsements on their license are far more aware of seeing bikes on the road
than those without∙ Motorists are more likely to yield right-of-way to an approaching car, but not a motorcycle, if the car
and bike are approaching at the same speed and under the same road conditions
Florida bike accidents went from 5,075 in 2000 to 8,542 in 2011. March is when most motorcycle accidentshappen, because of the seasonal influx of both cars and bikers here to enjoy the warm Florida sunshine, andDaytona Bike Week drawing tens of thousands of motorcyclists here.
For some great information about how to stay safe on the road, visit the FDOT’s Ride Smart Florida.
I was a Harley owner for years, and I really loved taking off down the road on my bike and the feeling offreedom I get behind the bars. But let’s face it – there is a big risk involved every time you raise yourkickstand, and the more we do to educate those around us about motorcycle awareness, the better.
