From the Principal’s desk. Quote: “Share your smile with the world. It's a symbol of friendship and peace.” By Christie Brinkley.
Tomorrow OHPS will hold their first of three Kindystart days. This event provides some orientation to the youngest of our students starting school in 2019. We thank in advance the parents of these students for staying with their children at school and participating in the information sessions being provided.
As we approach the time of the year where there are storms about it is timely to inform you of the rules in which Mother Nature has us apply. When lightning has been seen in the local area, there is a minimum time of 30 minutes, since the last lightning strike, before outdoor activities are able to resume.
Many classes are planning their end of the year activities. Whilst this is quite a few weeks away, teachers are reminding students that they make behaviour choices which may influence their participation in the fun events. Please discuss with your child that being included in extra-curricular activities is a privilege, not a right.
As has always been school process- we ask all parents, carers and visitors coming onto the school grounds during the day present to the front office before they enter the school. Your cooperation would be appreciated.
