Friday 30th November Murder Mystery Dinner and Disco - Dinner at Penns Hall Join us in the roaring 1920’s, at Abigail’s Birthday Party, a time of champagne, laughter and female emancipation. When Abigail and Delia Fauntleroy contrive to trap a couple of wealthy husbands, they get more than they bargained for! A surprise inheritance adds to the intrigue; is Lord Quentin who he appears to be? Will Constable Dixon solve the Dastardly Crime? A double murder keeps everyone guessing!

Festive Carvery and Tribute Nights A relaxed party atmosphere, where the emphasis on an enjoyable traditional dinner is as important as the dancing afterwards. Christmas Day Traditional LunchAccompanied by the sounds of our own pianist, the candlelit oak beamed Clubroom Restaurant offers a relaxed traditional atmosphere to enjoy good food and good company. The bar opens at 12.00 noon, with lunch served between 12.30pm and 2.30pm. A glass of chilled Champagne and canapés are served on arrival followed by a 5 course lunch. An adult orientated service, should families prefer the restaurant to the Christmas Day Family Lunch, we respectfully ask that children remain seated during lunch.

Party BuffetTo whet the appetite, enjoy the sharing platter of starters then choose from the selection of entrees on the hot and cold buffet with dishes for our younger guests too and complete your meal with a trip to the delicious chocolate fountain, with coffee available at your leisure.

Traditional CarveryA choice of starters served to your table, followed by a visit to our traditional Carvery with a choice of three roast meats with traditional accompaniments and a selection of vegetables and potatoes. The chocolate fountain will be flowing or choose from pudding favourites and a cheese board, with coffee available for you to enjoy at your leisure.

Later on...After dinner our DJ plays tracks from all the years, both for our younger guests and young at heart. At midnight countdown to New Year and then join us in the grounds for the firework finale as the family evening draws to a close after which guests are welcome to adjourn to the Club Bar until the bar closes to non-residents at 02.00am

Family Hogmanay New Year So often it’s difficult to find somewhere to go on New Years Eve with children – we have the answer! Families can celebrate together, with children of all ages welcome.

Razzle Dazzle Gala New Year CelebrationsA residential programme for 1 or 2 nights and a gala celebration for both hotel guests and non-residents in the distinctive Dorchester Ballroom with a Razzle Dazzle Party theme – perfect for dressing up and putting on the glitz! Our guests joining us for 2 nights arrive on 30th December, settling in and relaxing before an informal candlelit dinner with our resident pianist, followed by a fun quiz night with prizes for the winners! On New Year’s Eve morning enjoy breakfast and relaxation before preparing for the evening’s festivities.From 7.00pm there’s a drinks reception with canapés before sitting down at 8.00pm for a 6 course gala dinner. Entertainment by Three Rats in One with Jay Oxenham performing it ‘His Way’ and all the great hits from Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jnr & Dean Martin rolled into one. Our resident DJ will build the excitement to midnight. Our band of Caledonian pipers will bring in 2013, leading guests on to the grounds for a memorable firework display. The party continues into the small hours, with a civilised late Brunch on New Year’s Day and an optional late checkout.
