Changing Curriculum

Yes, you CAN change curriculum mid-year! That is one of the joys of homeschooling!

Don’t like it, change it!Isn’t working, change it!

Want to try something new? New year is a perfect time to see how it works!

And NO, you will not mess up your child by trying something else!

Relax the Schedule

This is not public school. You do not have to rush the day. You do not have to pack the day. Children learn

just by being. You relax and they will relax!

Organize

Whether your homecshool room or just your daily schedule, check out help from fellow

homeschoolers on how to organize and streamline your day!

Join a Local Group

Look for local groups close to you. Not only is this great support but

you can find out about other homeschooling activities happening

in your area!

Join Your Local Museum

Many museums offer special membership prices for homeschoolers plus offer classes and events just for

us! Be sure to ask at your local museum!Instant educational field trip on days you do not want

to stay home!

Make New Year Resolutions for your Homeschool

● Write down your homeschool goals for the year!● What you want to do, what you hope to do.● Do not make these goals so unrealistic that you

cannot reach them.● Do not make so many that you cannot accomplish

all and feel defeated.● Break it down into easy steps, like so mucn per

month or quarter.● Reward yourself for all your accomplishments. We

parents deserve it.● Remember you can do it! Baby steps!

Make Family New Year’s Resolutions

Set goals for the upcoming year that you would like to accomplish as a family! Basically make a bucket

list for 2015!
