Henry Cavill as Superman and Amy Adams as Lois Lane take up most of the cover. The actors are sized this large as they are used to draw in the reader. If an audience recognise the pair they are likely to go over and pick up the magazine.

The title of the movie: Man of Steel is placed in the centre of the cover. As well as the centre it’s been out into the foreground. It’s the biggest sized font (other than the title of the magazine). Also the title is written in a 'steel font', reflects the name of the film.
