What is Cloud Computing?
• Method that allows users access to remote devices, data, & services hosted in a “virtual environment” • Devices, data, & services are
accessed though the internet • Resources are shared
amongst clients, similar to a electricity grid for utilities except this is over a network

Benefits:o Cost reduction on utilities bill & be
energy efficiento Allows effective computing by
centralizing data storage, processing, and bandwidth
o Great for redundancy & disaster recovery plan

Cloud Storage for NOVA Students
Cloud Storage is a market that opened up due to Cloud Computing: Students are encouraged to use “virtual” space for
storing files Eliminate single point of failure Files are accessible from any device as long as internet
connection is present Software's are free and provide sufficient amount of
starting space Designed to be very user friendly
Recommended Softwares/Apps for Students:
Box is a secure online file sharing platform to manage & collaborate various files, audio, video, or zip files

As we know, all NOVA students have an abundant amount of cloud storage provided by Google Drive
IF Google drive was not the default, from my Research I prefer to recommend Copy by Barracuda for students.
Why Copy? Offers the most amout of space for free account No max file size limit Very user friendly interface for drag & drop feature (functionality & useability) Great documentation/customer servicehttps://techlib.barracuda.com/COPY/Copy
