Daycare

Start a small daycare. Parents would likely be more willing to utilize a day care provider which

has a teaching degree.

Other Educational Programs

After-school programs often need mentors, those who can assist students with their

homework, among other activities.

Colleges and neighborhood schools often need part-time teachers to teach adult education

classes, as well as academic courses. Even if a teacher has a full -time teaching job, they can

supplement their income by teaching night school.

Summer school programs are for students who may be held back due to failing grades.

Teachers are needed for these programs.

Summer Camps are more than just a place for kids to go away and play. PE teachers and those

that are sports minded are often welcomed to work with kids who need exercise programs, and

to work with kids doing activities such as boating, biking, hiking, learning to swim, camp

counselors, among others.

The economy is bad. However, teachers have one advantage that many don't have, and that is

they have a college degree. Although a course or two may be required, a public service agency

such as the Red Cross often needs teachers for CPR and First Aid Courses. Often newer teachers

think of teaching as their only option, however all teachers need to evaluate the skills that they

use while teaching which then can be used with other types of employment to add to or

replace their income.
