1 The future is used with "be goingto" to express future actions already planned (but not part of an established program). I am going to buy a new house. I'm going to buy a new home (I have the intention to do so). The movie will start at 10 o'clock. The movie will start at 10 (programmed). 2 With "goingto be" particularly indicated the intention to do something in the near future or the conviction that something will happen. It's going to be a great day. It will be a great day (I have the certainty).
