Community Service Project
• Identify a local group serving children from low income families, usually a school
• Establish coat goal, determine $ goal– Budget @ $18/ kids coat $20/adult sized coat
• Create fund raising plan– Reach out to community, use as opportunity to raise
awareness of Rotary and your Club!(we have brochure, flier and press release templates)
– Apply for District grant money!– Work with Interact or Rotaract club, other service
groups, firefighters.– Reach out to local businesses and foundations for
support.• Request “Challenge” grants

• Order coats with order form (available on our website)
• Boxes of 6 coats, minimum 5 boxes– $108 - $120 per box of 6 coats (includes shipping &
handling)– Extras provide “coat closet” for future needs– Sizes 3T- Adult XXL– 1-2 week lead time
• Plan for “Beyond Warmth” component with beneficiary organization– Literacy, wellness, nutrition, parental engagement,
“pay it forward” postcard (template available)
