What is unethical in business?

Unethical behaviors and issues can be found in many different forms in the workplace

• Some employees may be getting sexual harassed by their employer.

• Some employees lie about their expenses so they get a larger reimbursement check from their employer every month.

• Unsuitable working conditions such as sweatshops i.e. Primark and Nike

• Getting paid below the national minimum wage per hour.

Why do some companies not care about ethics?

•Pressure

•Self-interest, personal gain, ambition and downright greed

•Misguided loyalty

•Those who simply never learned or do not care about ethical values

Drawbacks of unethical company

• Customer satisfaction • Staff turnover

• Staff satisfaction• Poor reputation

• Risked passenger safety by restricting the amount of fuel carried to cut costs

• Ryan Air cabin crew instructed to steal passengers change
