Every institution & internet teach us about

global warming. According to them Global

Warming is the increase of Earth's average

surface temperature due to effect of

greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide

emissions from burning fossil fuels, which

trap heat that would otherwise escape from

Earth.

Page 3: Global Warming - Busting the Myth

But it’s not the full definition

describe the whole situation.

Page 4: Global Warming - Busting the Myth

Sources claims that greenhouse or exhaust gases absorb heat & reflect the heat to the atmosphere but heat trapped in atmosphere causes rise in temperature of environment. Mainly CO2, SOx & NOx are exhaust gases from transportation & power plants.

Page 5: Global Warming - Busting the Myth

These gases are mainly absorb Infrared radiation of sunlight but

Is only infrared radiation carrying heat?

Page 6: Global Warming - Busting the Myth

Fact:

All the gases have natural properties for absorbing heat & release the heat. Our environment gases (all gases) have same properties for absorbing heat & release the heat that’s why we see temperature fluctuation from starting to end of the day (e.g. 20OC min to 35OC max in a day)

Page 7: Global Warming - Busting the Myth

So the NOx, SOx & CO2 absorb heat & reflect heat is not the only reason.

Page 8: Global Warming - Busting the Myth

Now look at the exhaust temperature data from different sources.

• Vehicle ExhaustGasoline engines at 537OCTata indica diesel engine 4 cylinder 4 stroke engine at 448OC & Tata heavy weight truck 6 cylinder 4 stroke diesel engine at 336OC.

• Power plant exhaustGas turbine exhaust at 370-590OC

Page 9: Global Warming - Busting the Myth

Assumption taken that all engines have heat recovery systems.

Still we have average 250OC exhaust temperature from all the sources (assumed).

Our atmosphere average temperature assumed 30OC.

Page 10: Global Warming - Busting the Myth

Now imagine if you have closed tank of 10 m3 volume filled with air at temperature of 30OC.

Now inject the any inert gas or exhaust gas of 250OC temperature slowly in the tank

The equilibrium air temperature increase from 30OC to 35OC or above based on amount of exhaust gas injected after some time.

Page 11: Global Warming - Busting the Myth

So this is clear that not only the type of exhaust gas is the problem for global warming.

It also the temperature of exhaust gas.

Page 12: Global Warming - Busting the Myth

Actually we are supplying heat to the atmosphere in terms of exhaust gas

So, If we can reduce the exhaust gas emission temperature to below 100OC. After long period of time the average increase temperature of the surface or environment will affect.

Page 13: Global Warming - Busting the Myth

So our goal should be not only to cut the emission but it should be to decrease the exhaust gas temperature. Till now we have only 50% efficient engines…..

We need proper heat recovery systems in all engines from IC engines to the gas turbine engines.
