Bible Reading ピリピ/Phil. 3:3-9

3 神の御霊によって礼拝をし、キリスト・イエスを誇り、人間的なものを頼みにしない私たちのほうこそ、割礼の者なのです。 For it is we who are the circumcision,

we who serve God by his Spirit, who

boast in Christ Jesus, and who put no

confidence in the flesh—

ピリピ/Phil. 3:3-9

4 ただし、私は、人間的なものにおいても頼むところがあります。もし、ほかの人が人間的なものに頼むところがあると思うなら、私は、それ以上です。 though I myself have reasons for such

confidence. If someone else thinks

they have reasons to put confidence in

the flesh, I have more:


5 私は八日目の割礼を受け、イスラエル民族に属し、ベニヤミンの分かれの者です。きっすいのヘブル人で、律法についてはパリサイ人、 circumcised on the eighth day, of the

people of Israel, of the tribe of

Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in

regard to the law, a Pharisee;


6 その熱心は教会を迫害したほどで、律法による義についてならば非難されるところのない者です。 as for zeal, persecuting the church; as

for righteousness based on the law,

faultless.


7 しかし、私にとって得であったこのようなものをみな、私はキリストのゆえに、損と思うようになりました。 But whatever were gains to me I now

consider loss for the sake of Christ.


8 それどころか、私の主であるキリスト・イエスを知っていることのすばらしさのゆえに、いっさいのことを損と思っています。私はキリストのためにすべてのものを捨てて、それらをちりあくたと思っています。それは、私には、キリストを得、また、What is more, I consider

everything a loss because of the surpassing

worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for

whose sake I have lost all things. I consider

them garbage, that I may gain Christ

9 キリストの中にある者と認められ、律法による自分の義ではなくて、キリストを信じる信仰による義、すなわち、信仰に基づいて、神から与えられる義を持つことができる、という望みがあるからです。and be found in him, not having a

righteousness of my own that comes from the

law, but that which is through faith in Christ—

the righteousness that comes from God on the

basis of faith.
