“For myself…the philoso-phy of meaninglessness
was essentially an instrument of liberation.
The liberation we desired was…liberation from a
certain system of morality. We objected to the morality because it interfered with
our sexual freedom.”
Aldous Huxley Author of Brave New World
and Ends & Means
“I want atheism to be true and am made uneasy by the fact that some of the most intelligent and well-informed people I know are religious believers. It
isn’t just that I don’t believe in God and,
naturally, hope that I’m right in my belief.
Thomas Nagel Prof. of Law & Philosophy

“It’s that I hope there is no God! I don’t want there to be a God; I don’t want the universe to be like that.”

“Long ago you broke off your yoke and tore off your bonds; you said,
‘I will not serve you’.”

“The slightest sin is an act of defiance against cosmic authority. It is a
revolutionary act, a rebellious act where we are setting ourselves in

establish his kingdom…. I will be to him a father, and
he will be to me a son.”

And we bring you good news that what God has promised to the fathers, this he has fulfilled to us their children by raising Jesus, as also it is written in the second Psalm, “You are my Son, today I
