Objectives and Activities Coordination of ROS-Industrial developments in Europe

Implementation of community driven Technical Roadmap via co-funding of strategic projects (SP)

Create new reference applications in co-funded focused technical projects (FTP)

Tracking and integration of ROS industrial relevant activities in European Research Projects

Management of Quality, Standards Provide coding and documentation guidelines, component model,

Quality Assurance, ROS-I certificate Maintenance of central ROS Industrial repository

Offer Services to industry: Central contact point for ROS support, ROS Training tailored for industry, etc.

Marketing and Growth of Consortium and Community

The purpose of an SP is to achieve a goal of the ROS-I roadmap, e.g. real-time capability or windows support, i.e. application independent basic technologies required for FTPs.

SP are setup as collaborations with the Open Source Community (collaborate in ROS SIG), where the RIC-EU funding is used for the Initiation, Acceleration and Coordination of Community Efforts

The strategic projects are prioritized by the CAC The RIC-EU members efforts in the SP are funded up to 100%. All code is released open source IPA contracts external SP contributors
