Jackie’s Best Practices• Get the word out. Create campaigns.• Get referrals from EVERY call (candidate, referral,

reference)• Meet people face to face. If you’re trying to recruit a

specific type of engineer, sit with your engineers and question them– find out what they do, their interests. Which forums do they visit? Which groups or meetups are they members of?

• Do your research! Learn the challenges and weaknesses of your candidate and their employer.

• It’s all about messaging. • Get referrals from EVERY call (candidate, referral,

reference)• Have a strong sales pitch. Know your company and open

position. Worst thing you can do is seem unknowledgeable.

• Make sure your requisitions have detailed descriptions• The more information available here, the better your resume results will

be

• Edit your search to expand/limit results• Must make search “Inactive” before you can edit—make sure to re-check

the “Active” box once edits are made

• Make sure a multi-word phrase or title is entered as 1 search term and not multiple • Don’t hit “enter” until you’re done writing search phrase

• Not all resume sites accept Boolean operators, ex *, in search terms. • Not recommended to use operators in resume database searches

• For non-US location searches, add location criteria as keywords
