Community Centre used to teach “Beginner” level of Sewing program

Community Centre was ideal place to teach sewing and house the childcare during classes.

Community welcomed us and provided help as we moved in!!

Had tables and chairs built by local manufacturer at very reasonable prices.

Machines purchased to allow students to learn and practice on.

All set up and ready for students

Local dignitaries are on hand at Opening and Closing ceremonies

Tables, chairs, machines, staff, and students all worked wonderfully!

Students were extremely eager to learn. Many had never touched a Sewing Machine!

Classes ran from 9AM – 5PM, 6 days per week. Students did not want to leave!

Local Caterer provided lunch each day for students and staff.

Child care is provided to sewing students to ensure their daily attendance in class.

Structured play time, crafts, games, and other activities organized for up to 50 children per day.

Children sing songs at Graduation Day.

Samaritan's Purse is on hand to pass out their famous ‘shoe boxes’ to children!

Children were always eager to partake. They even learned English, as Staff learned their Spanish.

All aspects of the programs were documented.
