Retablo Art Workshop

Join Santa Fe legend Juanito Jimenez in an inspiring artistic workshop. We will work with gessoed boards, earth

clays and water colors to create personal interpretations incorparating the themes of the Season of Lent, the Way

of the Cross, and the face of Christ or El Cristo. We hope participants will allow their work to be used as Trinity’s

Artists Original Stations of the Cross for Lent in 2014. Come work on one piece or several. All skill levels are en-

Inspired by Spanish Colonial art of the Southwestern United States and its rich regional heritage, Juanito Jimenez has been painting

and cra� ing � ne art pieces from an early age. Juanito was awarded his Masters degree in Education from the New Mexico Higlands

University of Las Vegas, New Mexico and teaches classes throughout the United States. He has served as Curator of Southwest Devo-

tional Folk Art at the A.R. Mitchell Museum in Trinidad, Colorado and lectured at the Trinidad Historical Society on Spanish Colo-

nial Devotional Art.

With pieces in public Museums throughout New Mexico, Colorado and Washington D.C., Juanito's works are also held in private col-

lections in the United States, Europe, South America, Mexico, Canada and Australia.

Registration

There are three afternoon workshops.

• Friday, March 8, 4:00 PM-7:00 PM• Saturday, March 9, 3:00 PM-6:00 PM• Sunday, March 10, 4:00 PM- 7:00 PM

Registration Fees: $50.00 per person for both Friday and Saturday $25.00 per person for Sunday OR $65.00 for all three workshops

• In addition to the above opportunities, there will be a Familiy Intergenerational Workshop Saturday morning, March 9, from 9:00 AM- 12:00 PM Registration fee for this morning event is: $15.00 per person. Scholarships available for this event only.
