Thrillest Media Group is hiring a freelance writer

to contribute bar, restaurant, nightlife, and event

articles for its New York edition on an ongoing

basis. Thrillest provides an opportunity to create

exciting content that both local and visiting

readers will find entertaining and informative, as

well as share with friends on social media. The

ideal candidate has an intimate knowledge of the

restaurant and bar scene in New York, as well as

experience as a food, nightlife and/or destination

guide writer in digital media. Additionally,

candidates with strong photography skills with a

DSLR camera are preferred. An understanding of

SEO and social media is critical. This is a chance

to work with a winning team in the men’s interest

space and help build its future.

Qualifications

• Must be based in New York

• 3+ years experience writing, with focus

on local food and nightlife content

• Acute knowledge of New York’s food, bar,

nightlife and event scenes

• Strong writing skills

• Strong photography skills w/ a DSLR

camera preferred

• Deep personal enthusiasm for the best,

newest, and coolest places to eat, drink,

and have fun

• Appreciation for the Thrillest brand and

voice

• Ability to meet regular deadlines while

working independently

believe in a team environment and am a

committed player. I not only can laugh at

myself, but can be serious when work

needs to be done. Therefore, I would fit into

the Thrillest family like no other. Life is

suppose to be enjoyed to the fullest and

that is displayed through all the articles on

Thrillest.com, I would easily be able to

convey that mindset through my writing as

Did you know…

The average human spends thirty seven minutes per day using social

media? (Karr, 2015). With that high of a number, Thrillest Media Group

needs to be utilizing it as best as possible. With my knowledge and

experience on optimizing growth through social media, I can help

Thrillest reach a wider audience.

Also, YouTube reaches more US adults aged 18-34 than any cable

network (Bennett, 2014). Considering a main portion of Thrillest’s target

audience is watching videos on YouTube, they should have their own

channel and be producing quality segments/vlogs; all of which I know

how to execute well!
