1972-73 ARBITER STRIKES AGAIN

If you wondered how the student newspaper got the nickname "Arm Biter," then you probably didn't meet Editor Phillip Yerby. Yerby editorialized on just about everything and probably spent more time with his foot in his mouth than on the ground.

The all new, bigger and better Arbiter, which started out with a bang, went slowly down the tube till by the end of the year it was smaller than last year's. What started out as a good thing ended . . .

'73 LES BOIS TAKES A NEW

This year the Les Bois has been done to give you, the students, a meaningful look at the moods, events, and people of Boise State College. It has been done to share what your school year offered to you and created to have increased meaning as the years go by. We of the 1973 Staff thank all the members of the Student Body, Administration, and Faculty. As you look through the Les Bois, we hope that it brings back pleasant memories of 1973 as it was at BSC.

\£S Bo/s 1935 to 1973

The Les Bois Yearbook was born in 1935 when Boise State

College was Boise Junior College. This is the thirty-eighth

volume. Over the years, the students have taken the Les

Bois for granted, and in 1973 the yearbook was not funded

by the ASBSC Senate. There will be no yearbook next year,

and the students will not get any money back; the senate

simply tunneled the money elsewhere.

WHAT TO DO ON SATURDAY NIGHT? HOW ABOUT A RAID —

This is the picture of a typical Greek Raid. Although you can't see ducks or smell perfume or bread dough, you can still get the general idea. The police are really quite good about such things. One stopped during this raid to ask how the toilet paper got up in the trees. (He was promptly shown.)

Toilet paper and paint are the most popular raiding materials.

SIGTAU'S SPONSOR CRUSADE FOR

CANCER The Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity sponsored a Cru

sade for Cancer at Goofy's. Local businessmen donated gifts and over $200 was raised for the Cancer Society. Governor Cecil Andrus, chairman of this year's Idaho Cancer Society, endorsed the project.

4-

Governor Andrus backed the Sig Tau's in their crusade, saying "All too often the younger generation is considered by the older generations to be too self-centered. Fraternities particularly have a frivolous image which they often do not merit." "Here's the more typical example, however, of the concern and compassion of youth and its desire to wage a constructive fight against cancer."
