The first meeting for all of those who have indicated that they wish to become members, and for those who are now interested, is to be held in the Community Hub on Saturday 7th September commencing at 10am. Dear Editor,

I emailed a few weeks ago about trying to reunite a picture someone had painted of my late mother (‘Search for portrait artist’, issue 638).

One of your readers, Maureen Richardson, was able to get me the contact details of the family and I am very pleased to inform you that I will be able to send the painting back to the artist as I am sure my mam would have wanted.

A huge thank you to Maureen and also to everyone at the Ferryhill Chapter.

Yours sincerely,Amy Harrison.

Dear Editor,

On Wednesday 21st August, my son, Scott Harrison, of Lime Road, Ferryhill, did a charity 10,000ft skydive in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance at Peterlee Parachute Centre.

I would like to say how proud we all are of him for achieving this, as well as a big thank you to all the people who took the time to sponsor him.

The donations helped Scott to raise over £700 for the charity.

Yours sincerely,Mrs Lorraine Harrison,Lime Road, Ferryhill
