Charlotte Christian Summer Camp Programs will be closed the week of July 2 - 6.

Charlotte Christian School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, or national origin.

All camps are open to the general public.

Campers should bring a snack and a water bottle each day to camp.

All camper belongings should be label with the camper’s name on it.

geneRal pOliCieSThe policies for summer camp students in regard to conduct, courtesy, appearance and honor code will be the same as regular Charlotte Christian School policies.

• AllcampersandvisitorsareexpectedtoexemplifyJesus Christandpursueexcellenceatalltimes.• CharlotteChristianSchooloperatesunderanhonorcode whichspecificallyforbidsstealing,cheatingorlying. Camperswhoviolatethispolicyaresubjecttosuspension or dismissal. •Modestandappropriateclothingisrequiredwhileon campus.Footwearisrequiredatalltimes.•Boysshallnotwearearrings.•Novisiblebodypiercingorvisibletattooswillbe allowed.•Hats,capsorotherheadcoveringsarenotallowedinside the buildings.•Thepossessionoftobacco,alcoholicbeverages,drugs andfirearmsisnotallowedoncampusandcanleadtoan immediate dismissal without refund.•Campersmustarriveandbepickedupontime. There is a late fee of $10 per 10 minutes.

*Charlotte Christian School reserves the right to modifysummer camp policies and combine appropriate classes based on enrollment.

SafeTyCharlotte Christian General Campus Safety Guidelines include campus speed limit and that the middle car lane must be left free at all times. Cars are not permitted to park or stop in this lane.

Refund pOliCyAll camps are non-refundable within one week of the start of the camp, unless the school cancels a course. Charlotte Christian School reserves the right to combine appropriatecamps based on enrollment.

RegiSTRaTiOn fee$25perstudentonetimebeforeMay18$35perstudentonetimeafterMay18RegistrationmustbecompletedbyFriday,May18,inordertoadequatelystaffthecampandmaintainafunandsafeenvironmentforall.Enrollmentinanycamprequiresone-timeper child registration fee that is in addition to the camp fee. A $10 fee is accessed for any changes. The camp fee is due oneweekpriortothefirstweekofcamp.

Registraion for the upcoming camp week closes each Friday at3p.m.RegistrationscompletedovertheweekendwillnotbeprocesseduntilMondaymorning.Walk-upcampersmustregister and pay for camps in full before attending summer camp.

dROp Off/piCK upIn order to ensure the safety of all campers, parents should walk their child into the designated camp location and sign their child in with the instructor. Parents should not bring campers more than 10 minutes ahead of time or pick them more than 10 minutes after camp. A fee of $10 per $10 minutes will assessed.

A child, who will not be picked up by his/her parent or guardian,musthavewrittenpermissiontoridewithsomeoneelse. The permission must be presented to the camp director at the beginning of the camp day.

Campers who are registered for both morning and afternoon campswillbetakenandsupervisedatlunchcareandplaytimefornocharge.Lunchisnotprovided.

Whatwillyoudothissummer?Manyofuswill takemuchneededtimetotraveltovisitwithfamilyandfriendsSomewilltaketripstothebeachtounwindfromthebusyschoolyear.While,otherswillchoosetosleepinandtakeaslowapproachtothesummermorning.Butwhatwillyoudowhenthetravellingisdoneandthekidshaveasked“Whatarewegoingtodotoday”?

ThatiswhenyouwillprobablystartsurfingtheInternetforsummercampopportunitiesforyourchild. As a working mother of two I try not to let the words take me by surprise. During the months ofFebruaryandMarchwesitdownasafamilytotakealookatthefamily’ssummercalendar.Ihavefoundthatmaking camp selections early allow for my children to choose camps that will broaden their horizons with the possibility ofevenseeingifafriendcanattendcampwiththem.

Attendingsummercanbeabeagreatopportunityforchildrentoexpandtheirhorizons.Asadultswetendtogravitatetothingsthatmakeusfeelthemostcomfortable.Manytimesourchildrendothesame.Duringthesummeritisagreatopportunityforchildrentoattendavarietyofcamps.Thismayhelpfosteranewloveorinterestincooking,science,math,art,orevenanewsportinginterest.

I’llneverforgetthetimeImetayoungcamperwhoattendedoneoftheenrichmentcampsatCharlotteChristianSchool.HetoldmethathedidnotwanttogotocampbutratherstayathometowatchhisfavoriteT.V.show.Iencouragedhimtofindsomethingthatinterestedhimatcampthatday.Icheckedonhimlaterthatweektomysurprisehetoldmethatthiswasthebestweekever.Hetoldmethathehadmadesomenewfriendsandhadcreatedthecoolestscienceprojectever.

Is not that what we all want for our children - the opportunity to try something new and to build relationships that may lastalifetime.Whenchoosingyourcampsthissummer,lookforcampsthatwilleducatethewholechild.AsaneducatorandmomIknowthatthisisacontinualprocess.Thecampsthatmychildrenhavelovedthemosthaveprovidedthemwithopportunities toexceloutsideof theclassroomwhilepresenting themwith thechallengewith tryingsomethingnew.

Through a variety of exercises, drills andgames, students will learn the footwork and blade-work techniquesusedinmodernfencing.Fencingisamartialartthatdevelopsquickness,discipline,fairplay,andconfidence.The last day of camp will feature a practice tournament in which the students can test out their new swashbuckling skills. Students are asked to wear comfortable athletic clothing and proper athletic shoes.

complimentary performing arts classes in drama, music, and sign language. Instruction with related props and

crafts, along with participation in pertinent choreography sessions
