BecauseWm.W.Meyer&Sonsisnotalwaysawareoftheapplicationanddoesnotalwayshaveaccesstotheinstallation,yourparticipationinthesafeinstallation,operationandmaintenanceofyourRotaryAirlockFeederiscritical.IfyouhaveanysafetyoroperationalquestionspertainingtothedesignorapplicationsoftheRotaryAirlockFeederweencourageyoutocontactthefactoryat(800)963-4458.
Always CONTROL / DE-ENERGIZE potentially hazardous energy sources when installing and maintaining the Rotary Airlock Feeder, as follows:
1. TheRotaryAirlockFeederproductfamilyusesacommonmechanicalprinciplewhichcreatesaninternalpinchpointinordertofunctionproperly:ametalrotorwithbladesrotatesaroundanaxiswithinametalhousing.
a. TheRotaryAirlockFeedershouldnever be maintained or operated in a manner which could expose personnel to the internal moving parts eitherviatheinlet/dischargeport,anaccessdoorofanykindorviaancillaryequipmentaffixedtotheRotaryAirlockFeeder.To do so will expose personnel to the potential risk of serious injury.
b. Avoidseriousinjurybyalwayskeepinghands,fingers,feetoranypartsofyourbody,looseclothing,andforeignobjectsawayfrominletanddischargeopenings,drivecomponents,auxiliarycomponents,andassociatedequipment.
2. Always de-energize all electrical equipment by Locking Out/Tagging Out power beforeworkingonthisRotaryAirlockFeeder,includingmotors,switches,solenoidsandotherancillaryelectricallypoweredorcontrolledEquipment.Iftheelectricalcomponentsarenotproperlyde-energi ed,thiswillexposepersonneltothepotentialriskofseriousinjury.
TheRotaryAirlockFeedermaystopandstartautomatically,andmayalsooperateveryquietly.Equipmentinanidlemodedoesnotmeanitisoff-line.
3. InletandOutletflangesmustalwaysbepermanentlyfastenedtomatingsystemcomponents.Suchcomponentsmustbedesignedsothatundernormaloperationpersonnelareneitherallowedaccesstotheinletoroutletflangenorablereachtheinternalmovingparts.Ifrequested,Meyercandesign,buildandsupplycustomductwork,transitionpieces,pipingorspecialguardstoprotectagainsttheriskofinjury.
4. RotaryAirlockFeeders,theirdrivecomponents,accessorycomponents,andanyauxiliaryorcompanionequipment,shouldbeinstalledandoperatedonlywithprotectiveguardingcorrectlyandsecurelyfastenedinplace.

5. Neveropenaccesscovers/doorstoinspecttheEquipmentwhentheoverallplantsystemisunderprocesspressure.Waitforprocesspressurestoberelieved(i.e.ambientpressureisconfirmed).
6. IfworkingontheRotaryAirlockFeederwhenthesurfaceishot,alwayswearappropriateprotectiveclothing(e.g.glovesandotherprotectiveouterclothing),orifhotsurfacescouldburnskin,waitforsurfacestocoolbeforeperformingworkwhichcouldputsomeoneinaha ardoussituation.
7. TheweightofaRotaryAirlockFeederoritscomponentsparts,suchastherotor,headplates,etc.,cancauseseriousinjuryordamageifaccidentallydroppedormishandledduringinstallation.Usesafeandacceptablemethodswhenhandlingthisequipment.Contactthefactoryforrecommendedsafehandlingandriggingtechniques.
8. Referalsotoappropriatesupportingvendorsafetyinformation,MSDSsheetsoranyotherapplicablesafetyinformationinadditiontotheseInstructions.
SAFETY LABELINGYourunitisshippedwithanattacheddischargeflangeguard.DO NOToperateequipmentwithunguardedinletoroutlet.DO NOTremoveflangeguard.ThesafetylabelsshownareaffixedtoyourEquipment.ASafetySupplementDatasheetispackedwithyourequipmentatthetimeofshipment.AdditionalSafetySupplementlabelpacksareavailableatnoadditionalchargeforthesysteminstaller sorplantowner sdiscretionaryuse/placementtoensurethisEquipmentisinstalled,operatedandmaintainedinthesafestpossiblemanner.
Ifyouhavereceivedaunitwithoutaffixedlabelsoriflabelsfallofforaredamaged,contactWm.W.Meyer&Sonsimmediately(800-963-4458)toobtainreplacements
atnochargepriortoinstallation,useormaintenance.

MeyershipstheequipmentwithaffixedsafetylabelswhicharelocatedontheRotaryAirlockFeederhousingandothersurfaces,thedriveguardsanddrivebases(whenincluded).However,astheorientationoftheEquipmentvaries,theOWNERisresponsibleforrequesting,atnocharge,anysupplementarylabelstoallowsafetylabelvisibilitytobemaximi ed.Thefollowingrecommendationsareofferedtoassistplacementofsafetylabels:
• PlacelabelsinlocationsthatallpersonneloperatingandmaintainingtheRotaryAirlockFeederoranyotherpeoplethatmayhaveaccesstotheEquipmentwillreadilyseeastheyareeitherworkingontheEquipmentand/orastheyapproachtheEquipment.Thesafetyobjectiveisforanyonewhocouldcomeincontactwithaha ardseesthelabelalertinghimorhertosuchaha ardandthemeanstoavoidtheha ard.
• Insomecases,labelsmaybelocatedneartheRotaryAirlockFeeder(e.g.onnearbystructuralsteel,adjacentequipment),ifthisisthepointofaccesswhereitcanbeeasilyseenandtheha ardisclearlyassociatedwiththelabel slocationandhowitrelatestotheRotaryAirlockFeeder.
• ConsultFactorywhentheequipmentisoperatedattemperaturesover350 F.

SECTION II APPLICATION
TheKlean-In-Place SeriesfunctionsandoperateslikeanyotherMeyerrotaryairlockfeeder,butitisaspecialpurposevalveo enfurnishedinstainlesssteelconstructionanddesignedforfastdisassemblywithouttheuseoftools.Asaresult,thefeedercanbethoroughlycleaned,saniti edandinspectedinaminimalamountoftimeandwithaminimalamountofeffort.Thisfeatureenablesmaintenancepersonneltoquicklyslideoneendplateandtherotoroutofthevalvebody,whichfullyexposestherotorandvalveinteriorforcleaning.Thecloseoperatingtolerancesbetweentherotorandhousingarequicklyre-establishedduringeachreassemblyprocedurethroughtheuseoftighttolerancegroundsliderailsandlinearbearings.
AllKlean-In-Place SeriesRotaryAirlockfeedersrequirespecialcareandhandling.Pleaserefertotheappropriatesection(s)onmaintenanceproceduresandprecautions.
A. RECEIVING AND INSPECTION
UponreceiptofequipmentandmaterialfromWm.W.Meyer&Sons,Inc.,thefollowingbasicstepsshouldbetaken:1. Usethepackinglisttodeterminethatalltheitemsshippedhavebeenreceived.Yourequipment
wascarefullycratedforsafeshipmentwhengiventothecarrier.Checkfordamage.2. Damageintransitistheresponsibilityofthecarrier.Besuretohavethedriversignacopyofthe
freightbillwithanotationaboutanydamage.3. Ifashipmentwassenttoyoubyparcelpost,havethepostmastercompleteadamageclaimreport.4. ConcealedDamage:Ifequipmentorgoodsarediscoveredtobedamagedinshipmentatalater
date,contactthecarrierandWm.W.Meyer&Sons,Inc.,immediately.5. Inallcasesofdamageintransit,contactWm.W.Meyer&Sons,Inc.,forassistanceindetermining
whetherornotthisdamagemayinanywayaffectsafetyorpropervalveoperation.B. STORING THE ROTARY AIRLOCK FEEDER 1. Ifmovedtostorage,theequipmentshouldbelocatedinadryarea,preferablyinside.Outside
storagewillrequireadequateprotectionfromtheweather.

SECTION IV START-UP/OPERATION
2. TheinletandoutletoftheRotaryAirlockFeedershouldbesecurelycoveredtoprotecttheinteriorwhileinstorage.Forprolongedstorageananti-rustcompoundshouldbeappliedtoallinteriorsurfaces.Seemotorandreducerdataforstoragerules.
3. A erprolongedstorageandpriortostart-up,theRotaryAirlockFeederanditsdrivetrainshouldbeinspectedbyqualifiedpersonnel.ContactWm.W.Meyer&Sons,Inc.ifanyassistanceisrequired.
C. MOUNTING1. Priortoinstallingthevalveandwiththepowerdisconnected,checktoassurenoforeignobjects
havebeenle insideorhaveaccidentallyfallenintothevalve.2. Werecommendthatinletandoutletflangesremaincovereduntilthevalveisreadytobeattached
tothematingequipment.3. RotaryAirlockFeedersmustbeinstalledwiththetopandbottomflangesparalleltothemating
systemflangesandadequatelysupportedtopreventdistortion.
NeveroperatetheRotaryAirlockFeederwithunguardedinlet/outlet.ContactWm.W.Meyer&Sons,Inc.forflangeguardsatnoadditionalcharge.
D. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION1. Checkforcorrectrotationby bumping motor.Unlessspecifiedotherwise,Meyerrotaryairlock
valvesoperateintheclockwisedirectionasviewedfromthedriveend.
Disconnectpowerbeforeservicingmotorordrivecomponents.2. Asafetyswitchissuppliedwiththisfeederandmustbeinterlockedtoprovideadequatepersonnel
protection.Thesafetyswitchinsuresthatthefeederisclosedduringoperation.Nevermanuallyoverrideorelectricallyby-passanyprotectivedevice.ContactWm.W.Meyer&Sons,Inc.,forassistanceinreviewingyourparticularRotaryAirlockFeederinstallation.AlsocontactyourplantsafetydirectorandaskforareviewoftheRotaryAirlockFeederinstallationwithregardtosafety.
1. Priortoactualoperation,theoperatormustfamiliari ehimselfwiththemethodofstartingandstoppingtheRotaryAirlockFeeder,andthestatusofsupportingutilities.
2. ThegeneralappearanceoftheRotaryAirlockFeederandsurroundingareashouldbevisuallyinspectedtodeterminethatthevalvecanbeoperatedsafelyandwithoutcausinganytypeofdamage.
3. Assurethegearreducerhasbeenfilledtothecorrectlevelwiththeappropriatelubricantasrecommendedbythemanufacturer.LubricationinstructionsareincludedwiththeRotaryAirlockFeeder.
4. Bump theunitwiththemotorstartertocheckforcorrectrotation.Changethephasesequencetothemotorifrotationiswrong.AlwaysassuretheunitisproperlygroundedinaccordancewithOSHA,theNECandlocalcodes.
5. Starttheunitagain,notinganyunusualnoiseorvibration.Ifnoiseisevidentitisrecommendedthattheequipmentbeshutdownandreinspectedforforeignmaterials.IfnoobstructionappearsyoushouldcontactMeyerandSonsbeforeanyfurtheroperation.Assuremotoramperagedoes

notexceedname-platedvalue.6. Guardsandvalveinspectiondoorsshouldbeinplaceandclosedtightlywhenevertherotoris
turning.7. Whenshu ngdowntheRotaryAirlockFeeder,shutoffsupportingutilitiesinaccordancewithplant
operatingprocedures.8. Whencleaningorservicingisrequiredofthevalve,properlockoutofelectrical,compressedgas
andanyauxiliaryequipmentshouldbecompletedbeforetheworkisstarted.9. A ertheinitialoperatingperiod,werecommendthatyourplantengineeringandmaintenance
personnelcontinuetomonitortheoperationofthevalveonaregularschedule.Particularattentionshouldbepaidtothefollowingitems:
a. Gear ReducerCheckforproperlubrication,excessiveheat,vibrationorunusualnoisewhichmayindicateaproblemwiththespeedreducer.Klean-In-Place modelsutili eparallelsha helicalgeartype.LubricantinstructionspublishedbytheparticularreducermanufacturerareincludedwiththeRotaryAirlockFeeder.b. BearingsTheconditionofRotaryAirlockFeederbearingsshouldbecheckedroutinely.Excessiveheat,vibration,orunusualnoiseindicatesapotentialproblem.Klean-In-Placerotaryairlockvalvesaremanufacturedwithpre-lubricated,sealed,anti-frictionballbearingsthatdonotrequireregreasing.c. Seals DependentuponthestyleandleveldesignationofyourKlean-In-Place SeriesRotaryAirlockFeeder,yourunitwillbesuppliedwitheithergraphiteimpregnatedaramidfiberpackingorTeflonU-Cupsha sealsasstandardwithinthepackingglandhousing.Maintenanceislimitedtoreplacementofthepackingringsineachheadplatewhenwearandleakagebecomesexcessive.E. GENERAL INSPECTION1. Observeequipmentforanyunusualvibration,noiseoroperatingtemperaturesinexcessofthe
maximumspecifiedforyourinstallation.2. Checkvalveflangeandpurgeconnections,andallnuts/boltsfortightness.3. Bealerttooilleaksonmachineryandaroundthesurroundingarea.4. Inspectinletandoutletfi ngs,flangesandductsforleaks.Checkutilityservicepipingand
associatedvalvesandgaugesattachedtotheRotaryAirlockFeeder.5. Checkallaccessoriesforproperoperation.Checksafetyswitchesforadjustment,andoperating
mechanismforalignment.TheKlean-In-Place SeriesMeyerrotaryairlockfeederhasbeenmanufacturedfromthefinestmaterialsavailabletoexactingstandardsofworkmanship.Verycloseandprecisetolerancesassurethebestpossiblefitandsealbetweenallcomponents.Aswithanyqualityproduct,theyshouldbegivenproperhandlingandcare,asoutlinedbelow:

SECTION V PROPER CARE AND HANDLING
1. Whendisassemblingandassemblingthevalve,ifthecomponentsdonoteasilycomeapartorgobacktogether,donotattempttoforcethemintoplace.
2. Donotattempttoswitchtherotorfromonehousingintothatofanother.Housingsandrotorsaremated .Theyarenotinterchangeable.
3. Usespecialcareandhandlingtoavoidspoiling(i.e.,nicking,scoring,gouging,gauling,etc.)anyinternalsurface,edgeorcontourofthehousing,rotororendplate.Anydegradationofthesemachinedsurfacesmayupsettheinternalclearances,causethevalvetobindandcauseextensivedamage.
4. Nevertightentheheadplatefastenersandglandnutsbeyondareasonable handtightfit .Over-tighteningdoesnotincreasethevalve sabilitytosealanddoesnotaiditsperformanceinanyway.
5. Sealedandpre-lubricatedbearingsaresuppliedwiththeKlean-In-Place SeriesValve.IftheRotaryAirlockFeedercomponentsaretobesubmergedinacleaningtankorsimilartypeofbath,thebearingsmustfirstberemovedfromtheheadplate.Careshouldalsobetakentoremovethebearingshimsatthesametime.DONOTDISCARDORDAMAGESHIMS.
6. Alwayscleanandinspectonevalveatatimeandreassembleimmediatelytoavoidmismatchingparts.
SECTION VICLEANING PROCEDURE(Seeexplodedviewoffeederonpage15toidentifyitemnumbersshowninparenthesis)
BeforebeginninganyworkontheRotaryAirlockFeeder,LOCKOUT/TAG OUTtheincomingpowertothegearheadmotor.
To remove the rotor (2) from the valve housing (1), follow these steps:
(Refer to Fig A)
1. Verifythattheboltsholdingthefoursliderailstopstothesliderailsaretight.
2. Unscrew(counter-clockwise)theheadplatereleasehandles(4)andremove.
3. Loosen(butdonotremove)theglandnutwingnuts(8)onthedriveheadplate(13).

4. Usingthebearingcarrierspokesashandles,slowlypulltheblindendheadplate(3)awayfromthehousing(1).Therotorandheadplatewillmoveoutandawayfromthehousingasthesliderails(23)slidethroughthelinearbearings(21).Stopwhenthesliderailstops(24)preventfurthertravel.Donotslamthestopsattheendoftravel.
5. TheRotorandHousingcannowbeinspectedandcleaned.
To re-install the rotor (2) in the valve housing (1), follow these steps:
1. Usingthebearingcarrierspokesashandles,slowlypushtheblindendheadplate(3)androtorbackintothehousing(1).Therotorandheadplatewillmoveintothehousingasthesliderails(23)slidethroughthelinearbearings(21).Stopwhentheheadplate(3)makescontactwiththehousing(1)andpreventsfurthertravel.Donotslamtheheadplateintothehousing.Besuretheheadplatestephasseatedproperlyintothehousing.
2. Screw(clockwise)theheadplatereleasehandles(4)backontothestuds.
3. Tightentheglandnutwingnuts(8)onthedriveheadplate(13).
4. Thevalveisnowreadytoreturntoservice.
SECTION VIIDISASSEMBLY PROCEDURE(Seeexplodedviewoffeederonpage15toidentifyitemnumbersshowninparenthesis)
BeforebeginninganyworkontheRotaryAirlockFeeder,LOCKOUT/TAG OUT theincomingpowertothegearheadmotor.

1. Unscrew(counter-clockwise)thebearingcapcapscrews(25)andremove.2. Removethebearingcap(6)andgasket(16).Becarefulnottodamagethegasket.3. Utili ingahexkey,Removethefoursetscrews(27)thatholdthesliderails(23)inplaceintheblind
headplate(3).4. Removethesliderailsfromtheblindheadplate(3),linearbearings(21),andhousing(1).5. Unscrew(counter-clockwise)theheadplatereleasehandles(4)andremove.

6. Loosen(butdonotremove)theglandnutwingnuts(8)ontheheadplates(3&13).
7. Utili ingahexkey,unscrew(counter-clockwise)thesocketheadcapscrew(15)andremovealongwiththebearingretainer(11)andlockwasher.

8. OnsomeKlean-In-PlaceRotaryAirlocksasnapring(19)andhardenedwasher(20)areusedtosupporttheouterbearingontherotorsha .AllKlean-In-Placeunitshaveshims(17).Usingthebearingcarrierspokesashandles,slowlypulltheblindendheadplate(3)straightawayfromthehousing(1)untiltheshims(17),snapring,andwasherareaccessible.Slidetheshimsandhardenedwasherofftheendofthesha .Removethesnapringwithasnapringpliers.Thiswillrequiretwopeople,onetoholdtheheadplateandtheothertoremovetheshims,washer,andsnapring.Note:Donotdiscardordamagetheshims.Theshimssettherotorclearancewithinthehousing.
9. Usingthebearingcarrierspokesashandles,continuepullingtheblindendheadplate(3)straightawayfromthehousing(1).Avoidpullingtheheadplateoffinanuneven sidetoside manner.Mishandlingcancausedamagetotheblindendseal.Thebearings(5&7)willremainintheheadplateandslideoffthesha .Therelationshipbetweenbearingandsha isaclearancefit.Theheadplateshouldslideofftherotorsha withverylittleresistanceandwiththebearingandsealstillintact.

To remove the bearings (5 & 7) from the blind end headplate (3), follow this step: 14.Thebearingsaretapfitinthehousing.Presstheouterbearing(7)outoftheheadplateinthe
directionofthebearingcap(6).Removetheinnerbearingretainer(18)bylooseningandremovingthetwocapscrews(26)thatholditinplace.Theinnerbearing(5)canthenberemovedinasimilarmannerastheouterbearing.
To remove the linear bearings (21) from the housing (1), follow these steps:15.Useasnapringplierstoremovethesixteensnaprings(22)fromtheeightlinearbearings(21).16.Thelinearbearings(21)areclearancefitinthehousing.Slideeachoneoutandremove.

1. Inspecttheeighthousing(1)linearbearingborestoinsuretheyarecleanandsmooth.2. Inspectthelinearbearingstoassuretheyareclean,slidefreelyanddonotdragorbind.Installthe
eightlinearbearingsinthehousing.Useasnapringplierstoinstallthesixteensnaprings.3. Resttheblindheadplate(3) facedown onacleansurfacesothatthebearinghousingispointed
up.Inspectthebearingborestoinsuretheyarecleanandsmooth.4. Inspectthesha bearingstoassuretheyareclean,turnfreelyanddonotdragorbindatanypoint.5. Donotinstallthebearings(5&7)intothehousingatthistime.6. Withtheheadplatestill facedown ,inspectthesealhousingtoinsureitiscleanandsmooth.7. Fitthepackingrings(10)intothesealhousing.Thelipofthepackingringshouldfacedownor
towardtheinteriorofthevalve.8. Installtheglandnut(9)overtheholddownstudsandslidetheshoulderintothesealhousing.
Evenlytightenthetwowingnutfasteners(8)oneithersideoftheglandnutuntilsnug-thenbackoff turn.
9. Repeatthisprocedureforthesealreplacementonthedriveheadplate.10.Presstheinnerbearing(5)intoitsboreintheblindendheadplate(3).Becarefultopressonthe
outerraceonly.Repeatthisprocedurefortheouterbearing(7).Installtheinnerbearingretainer(18).Itisheldinplacebytwocapscrews(26).
11.Inspecttherotor(2)andhousing(1)toassuretheyarecleananddry,thesurfacessmoothandfreeofnicks,divots,oranyroughspotsthatwillinterferewiththematedfit.
12.Inspectthegearreducerdrivesha andcouplingtoassureitisclean,dryandfreeofanynicksthatwillinterferewiththematedfitbetweenitandtherotorsha .Applyalightcoatofanti-sei ingcompound(suchasNever-See byBostikMfg.orequal)tothegearreducerdrivesha .
13.Installthedriveheadplate(13)onthehousing(1).Note:OnSanitaryunitsthedriveheadplateisintegralwiththehousing.Installcoupling(12)andkeyonthegearreducerdrivesha andinstallthegearreducer(14)onthedriveheadplate(13).Besurethegearreducerpilotseatsinthematingsurfaceofthedriveheadplate.
14.Griptherotordrivesha onthenon-driveend.Slowlyandcarefullybeginworkingtherotorintothehousing.Avoiddraggingtherotorvanesalongthehousingboreandwalls.Neverforcetherotorintothehousing.Althoughmanufacturedtoveryclosetolerances,thereissufficientclearancetopermittherotortoslideintothehousingwithaminimumofeffort.
15.Whentherotorpassesthroughthedriveendheadplateandoutpastthesealassembly,alignitwiththegearreducersha andslideitpartiallyontothesha .Turntherotoruntilthecoupling(12)andsha arealignedandcanbeengaged.Continuetoslidetherotoruntilcompletedseatedinthehousing.
16.Checktheinternalblindendheadplate(3)surfaceandrotorsha toassurebotharecleanandvoidofnicks,etc.

Withthesealassemblyandbearingsproperlyinstalledintheheadplate,carefullyslidetheheadplate(3)ontoandovertherotorsha .OnsomeKlean-In-PlaceRotaryAirlocksasnapring(19)andhardenedwasher(20)areusedtosupporttheouterbearingontherotorsha .A ertherotorsha haspassedthroughtheinnerbearingandbeforeitenterstheouterbearing,installthesnapring(19)withasnapringpliersandslidethehardenedwasher(20)ontheendofthesha .Thebearingshims(17)shouldalsobeinstalledatthistime.Slidetheshimsontotheendofthesha andupagainstthehardenedwasherandsnapringorsha shoulder.Itwilltaketwopersonstoperformthisoperation.
18.Carefullypresstheheadplatetherestofthewayoverthesha andintothehousing,whileavoidingcontactwiththethreadedstuds.Itiscriticalthatthemachinedsteporliparoundtheperimeteroftheheadplateisseatedsquareandsnuginthehousing.Ifmisalignedornotfullyseated,theinternalclearanceswillbeupsetandthiswillcauseseriousdamagetothevalvewhenoperated.
19.Screw(clockwise)theheadplatereleasehandles(4)backontothethreadedhousingstuds.Handtighteninasequential criss-cross fashionuntiltheheadplateissecurelyandsquarelyfastenedtothehousing.
20.Installthelockwasherandbearingretainer(11)onthesocketheadcapscrew(15).Screw(clockwise)thesocketheadcapscrewintothesha andtightenwithahexkey.
21.Installthebearingcap(6)andgasket(16).Installandtightenthehexheadcapscrews(25).22.Finishtighteningtheglandnutwingnuts(8)oneachheadplateuntilsnug.23.Slidethesliderails(23)throughthelinearbearings(21)andintotheblindheadplate.Acounter
sinkislocatedneartheendoftherailforthesetscrew(27)toseatinto.Locktherailsinplacewiththesetscrews(27)intheblindheadplate.
24.Ifthesliderailstops(24)wereremovefromthesliderailsre-installatthistime.Applythreadlockingcompoundtothecapscrews(28)andtightentoholdthestopsinplace.OnsomeKlean-In-PlaceRotaryAirlockstheorientationofthesliderailstopsisimportantandshouldbesetbeforetighteningthecapscrews.
25.Thevalveisnowreadytoreturntoservice.Beforeapplyingpower makesurethevalveinteriorisnotexposedandanypurgeorsignallinesarereconnected.

Everyunitisshippedwithanattacheddischargeflangeguard.DONOTOPERATEequipmentwithunguardedinletoroutlet.DONOTREMOVEFLANGEGUARD.
6. Neveroperatethevalvewiththedrivechainguardordrivecouplingguardremovedorloose.
7. Always follow LOCKOUT-TAGOUT procedurebeforeperforminganywork.
8. Alwayskeeplooseclothing,hands,feetoranypartsofyourbody,toolsand/oranyforeignobjectsawayfromallmovingequipmentandawayfromanypotentialpinchpoint.
9. Neverremoveanyaccessdoors(inspectionportcovers)above,below,oronthevalveitselfwithoutfirstlockingoutpower.
