MAJLIS ATFALUL AHMADIYYA UK

30 August 2016

Dear Brother,

May the Lord of mankind open unto you all the gates of His mercy and may He so ordain that you are always accompanied by the supplication of His angels.

With the blessings of Allah the Almighty Majlis Atfalul Ahmadiyya UK will be holding its National Ijtema Insha’Allah on 23rd,

24th and 25th September this year in Old Park Farm, Kingsley, GU34 9LU. All Atfal are invited to participate in this flagship

event of our Majlis and enjoy the spiritual and physical benefits of this Ijtema. There will be a range of activities and

competitions which I am sure you will take part in and enjoy.

Ijtema is a blessed gathering that provides a unique opportunity for Khuddam and Atfal to come together in the true spirit

of universal brotherhood and for the ultimate purpose of remembering Allah; this provides a platform for training and self-

development and serve as an avenue to gain religious knowledge; this provides an occasion to renew old friendships and

to rise to the Qur’anic injunction that we should ‘vie with one another in good works’ (Ch.2:V.149), whether that be on the

sports field or from behind the lectern.

Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (atba) on 19th November, 2006 addressing at an Ijtema said;

“The purpose of these Ijtemas is to enable members to benefit from the educational and spiritual programs and speeches

and to rid themselves of any shortcomings they may have. Also, the younger and older participants may participate in

various educational competitions to improve their knowledge and sharpen their spiritual capabilities. These gatherings

provide an atmosphere that promotes discussion and identification of ways and means of self-improvement. Any society,

whose young boys and men gather in one place with the intention of spending their time in a purely spiritual atmosphere

and engage in activities for self-improvement, the future generations of that society are safeguarded; also it does not

suffer from a decline.

Additionally there are a few important points that I would like to draw your attention to; for the event to run smoothly and

to be able to complete on time it is essential that all the activities start at the schedule time. This cannot be achieved

without your commitment to time keeping. Please arrive well in time; there will be no delays Insha’Allah. Please remember

to bring along your AIMS card. The Ijtema syllabus and program are enclosed with this letter. Please look through these so

you can prepare for the various competitions.

Finally I would like to request to please pray for the success of our Ijtema. We look forward to welcoming you there.

Jazakallah

Yours humbly, Yousaf Aftab Mohtamim Atfal Majlis Atfalul Ahmadiyya UK Email: [email protected] Mobile: +44 7739 537511

Majlis Atfalul Ahmadiyya Pledge

“I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, He is one and

has no partner, and I also bear witness that Muhammad is His servant

and His messenger.

“I solemnly pledge that I shall always be ready to serve my faith Islam, Jamaat Ahmadiyya, my nation and country. I shall always tell the truth, will not verbally abuse anybody and will strive to act upon all the exhortations of Khalifatul Masih. Insha’Allah."

`

Football Tournament will be played on a 7-a-side basis.

Each team is allowed to use a squad of 11 players per match with ‘roll on - roll off’

substitutions.

Normal 11 a side rules except for: o That there are no offside’s. o there is a "no sliding tackles" rules in place and will be enforced by referees

Otherwise the ball can go overhead height, keepers are permitted to come out if their area and attackers are allowed into the area etc.

Throw-ins & corners are taken as per a normal 11-a-side match. The 'back-pass' law to

goalkeepers will be enforced

The tournament will be held initially in group stages followed by knock out. The duration and

format of matches will be determined closer to the event.

In the event of a knock-out fixture ending in a draw. A penalty shoot-out will take place

consisting of 3 penalties per side and if teams are still level after 3 penalty kicks each, the subsequent penalties will be decided on a sudden-death basis. The goalkeeper in goal at the time of the full time whistle must remain in goal for the penalties.

The opposing player must stand 5 yards away from any free kicks taken.

If teams are not ready to kick-off at the appointed time, the Sehat-e-Jismani team reserves

the right to reduce the amount of time played in the match and award the opposition one goal for every reduction of three minutes playing time.

A Team must have a minimum of 4 players on the pitch at the start of the game to constitute

a match. Any less than 4 players and the team risks disqualification. Any foul language used against the opposition or referee on the pitch will result in a red card

and one match ban. Any bad challenges will result in a bookable offence. A red card will lead to an automatic 1

match ban. The referee can also use a ‘3 minute sin bin’ at his discretion if required.

National Atfal Ijtema
