During school hours I would use the

computers provided to research

everything that was to know about my

chosen genre and what conventions

would I need to include to make my

video look professional.

At certain stages of my

research I used my

phone to take photos of

certain objects or people

that was relevant to my

blogging. E.g. Digipaks

Google

Google was very helpful in the research stages of my coursework, as

whenever I needed to find out some information about my chosen genre or

even smaller aspect like what to call my album or single it was easier

enough to search common names for that genre.

Wikipedia was also very helpful in parts of the research

that in which I need in-depth information about artists

and record labels. Instead of having to search many

different categories on Google Wikipedia made it simple

by having all the information on one page.

Playlist The video site YouTube has been very useful

in my media studies, not just in the research

process but also my evaluation process as I

uploaded my own video onto YouTube to get

a volunteered target audience feedback.

I also used the site a lot when researching

music videos of the same genre to

understand what conventions needed to be

use and how I needed to present my video

I used word for a lot of my planning as it

was simple enough to wright down exactly

what I wanted to plan for all three of my

products. It was a great way to finalise all

my ideas to make sure that they was

detailed and had reasons for them.

I used Da Font.com for my ancillary tasks, the site helped me to chose a

font that was suitable for my genre by providing me with a wide range. I

then used these for my magazine advertisement and also the name for

my artist, which I would use a consistent font throughout the two

products.

Even though paint is one of your every day tools

when it comes to working on computers, it was

remarkable how useful the tool came. Nearly

every lesson when I was in my planning and

construction stage, even my evaluation stage I

would use paint to save inspirational images, or

even to just crop an image to be get exactly

what I wanted.

Soundcloud and Vimeo were two sites

used for a similar purpose, when it came

to uploaded a soundtrack onto my

website I had to look through Soundcloud

as the site was linked to Wix . However, I

looked over the two sites many times to

get a wide interest into the music

community.

Photoshop was used for my construction

of my magazine advert.

This program made my product easy to

make, due to using the software in my

previous year of my media studies.

Using Photoshop made my construction

simplistic as familiar tools meant I knew

which effects would make my

interpretation effective.

Premiere Pro CS6 was a program

that I had not come across before,

this made the start of my construction

for my video complex, however after

research into the software I began to

understand the effects which would

help me to form a music video which

would give me positive feedback from

my target audience.

I used Wix website maker to

help produce a website of a

professional quality.

This website was very simple to

use as it was self explanatory, I

believe using this software in

particular due to those aspects

,helped me to achieve positive

feedback.

The video camera I used

was simple to use as it

was not a complex

camera, the quality of the

picture was content

however the sound was

not as of a high quality.

For my evaluation which dealt with audience feedback I gave out

questionnaires for a group of people to fill in once they had seen my

music video. I then interviewed a few of the volunteered group to

question them on all three of my products. Using premiere pro cs3 I

have put all of the footage together, combined with screen shots from

feedback I had received on social networking sites. Merging all these

different types of media together will hopefully enhance the evaluation

of the feedback I have been given.

SlideShare was used a few times in my process,

it was a useful tool in my evaluation stage as the

tool made it easy and fast to present a

PowerPoint in an accessible manor.
