Social Media

One of the main differences between out AS and A2 coursework was that in A2 we as the user, were also the producer. We used social sites to share our work, and receive feedback from audiences. This is all part of the Media 2.0 theory where you use other audience member as an influence, and use the internet to share your work

Twitter

Through Twitter we were able to contact out teacher at all times, and could therefore receive feedback on our work and link work to her to be assessed. This meant our work could be critically assessed and therefore improved. By using different forms of social media we were able to use other audience member’s ideas and thoughts. Even though we were the consumers, we were also the producers.

Blogger

To have somewhere to post all our finished work we created a blog page. This enabled all our work to be put on one page to show our progression throughout the whole of the coursework stages.

Youtube

To post roughcuts, and final versions of our trailer online we used you tube. Audiences would comment on the videos on the website to give feedback and possible improvements.

To facilitate our creativity, we used the programs IMovie, Photoshop, Garage Band + also used a Green Screen. It shows how I used these in the power point.

These all helped to make the concepts in our heads a reality and enabled us to make a soap trailer and ancillaries to go with this.
