The new headquarters for Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foun-dation (KBZF) and Emirates Investment Authority (EIA) will bea distinguished design that stands out as a state of the artexpression. The solution is a site and climate responsive designof simplicity, sophistication and formal strength, within theclient-mandated construction and life cycle cost frame. The newheadquarters will serve as an architectural landmark for theU.A.E. This updated final concept design displays the notion of the two triangular towers connected by the amenity podium.

Two different tower design profiles have been developed for comparison and under the directive that towers are twins of equal height. Both options feature 12 office floor plates of equal size (1595m²). Three and four story atria with connecting stairs improve flexibility and promote connections between departments. Option 1 features a serrated windo wall profile facilitating glare re-duction and reducing heat gain.Option 2 features a win-dow wall canted out at the top on Each individual floor.

The capital city of Abu Dhabi belongs to a series of islands and waterways with areas of white sand beaches and lush mangroves. The unexpected vegetation surrounded by clear blue waters contrasts sharply with expanses of windblown sand, and the location

for the KBZF & EIA towers provides a spectacular view of the Eastern Mangrove La-goon National Park.Directly to the east of the site lies Al Salam Street, one of three

main arteries connecting Abu Dhabi to the mainland.

Doha Springs is conceived as a vibrant communityof commercial, hospitality, culturaland residential components at a prime sitein close proximity to the city’s airport and atthe confluence of two major subway lines. The development is planned to be implementedover several phases and constitutes900,000m² of total development area.Based on the notion of water as the quintessentialgenerator of life and shade as a muchsought after respite from the brilliant sunlight ofthe desert, the project exudes these ideologiesthrough various metaphors and manifestations. These range from nature-derived, sculptedbuilding profiles to dappled sunlight filteringthrough tensile fabric structures, from a networkof shaded, interconnecting squares, courtyardsand sunken gardens and placid pools tohigh energy business and leisure activities, andfrom fluid forms of hovering parasols to palmgroves that are an integral part of a strategic,state-of-the art water management plan.

Adopting and refining the urban grid allowsthe flexible development of the site in a rationalway while providing many opportunitiesfor spatial interest and complexity. Each block develops its own identity, while harmoniously being part of the larger environment and iconography of Doha Springs overall. This urbanistic approach makes for great buildings, great spaces, an economical approach, and a proven methodology for development.

The project is conceived as a network of in-terconnected urban spaces, both indoorand outdoor, forming a complex but coher-ent environment for human activity. The urban space system is further sub-de-fined by a hierarchy of scale of form through the central Grand Souq, which connects theMetro Court at the southern corner axiallythrough the Grand Court, Apex Court, and finally the Masjid Square at the norther cor-ner.Additional urban squares, courts, and alleysform a tributary network feeding into and outof the Grand Souq spaces at smaller scaleswith varying levels of activity and intimacy.Within individual development blocks,semi-private courtyards complete the urbanspace network, providing intimate microcli-mates for residents and tenants.

LUXURY BANGALORE BANGALORE-INDIA CALLISON LLC ( September 2013 )

The VerandahAn escape from the hectic pace of ur-ban life, the veranda concept provides

us with a direct connection with nature and people. The Veranda, connected to the Garden at ground level and the Sky Veranda, connected to the Sky garden,

open vistas and sky at the rooftop, are inside-outside living spaces that

evoke a relaxed feeling and slower pace of life of old Bangalore. Layered, hand-crafted and crisp, the veranda concept

exemplifies the restrained elegance, exclusivity and balance of a “Zen”

resort. Subtle references to nature- trees, foliage, water and sky are woven

throughout the design as an underlying layer of continuity.

Once called the “Garden City ofIndia,” Bangalore is now a large, cosmopolitan city with diminishinggreen spaces and a growing workingpopulation. As an antidote to thisfast-paced urban lifestyle, theclubhouses of One Bangalore Westare designed to connect with natureand evoke pleasant memories ofa slower paced, relaxed lifestyleand lounging, socializing on thethe British Colonial verandas. The Clubhouses at One BangaloreWest take cues from the past, bringing it into the future, with aModern Colonial point of view.- 3d Modelling- Screen Designing (Internal partition & Ceiling)- InDesign Package- Drafting Plans & Elevations

NEW-LINK STREET MARKETMUMBAI-INDIA2012Urban design Prof. Atrey Chayya We, as a group of five students were asked to analyze the problems and solutions of the new link road market poppu-lated with dense pedestrian and vehicular traffic. The big box commercial spaces like the mall with relationship to the artisan shops were positioned to provide a green recreation / buffer space for shoppers and local users who live in the residential complexes around. Widening roads, better traffic regulations and increase in the number of dustbins were a couple of solu-tions added.

FAMILY CONDOSMUMBAI-INDIA2012Architecture design Profs. Shroff+Leon Architects In this modern day of Apartements and Condos, we have forgotten the playgorund neighbourhood. That was the environment to meet and engage with neighbours inci-dently and without any plan. Thus the conceopt of this particular towe was the planning in section of bvisual con-nections between the recreation spaces and the personal areas of the rooms. Keeping in mind the privacy and and sustainability of letting these open spaces. These were four to six bedroom apartments with kitchen, formal, informal living areas, libraries and other ameni-ties. A single family / apartment spanned across 1 1/2 to 2 floors.
