COULD YOUR TEAM TURN $1,500 INTO $10,000 FOR CHARITY
proudly supported by
MILLION $ CHALLENGE
The Million $ Challenge is an entrepreneurial competition that challenges teams of employees to raise as much money as they can for charity, through enterprising
initiatives. The aim is for all teams to raise a combined total of
ONE MILLION DOLLARS for the Australian Youth Mentoring Network and
Big Brothers Big Sisters. The challenge tasks teams of aspiring leaders from graduates to senior
employees, to work together to turn $1,500 seed funding into a profi t of at least $10,000
for the charities over the course of six months.
Through mentoring, young people
are given support, guidance and encouragement, building self-esteem and
resilience to make the right choices in life, preventing anti-social or illegal behaviours before they occur.
Big Brothers Big Sisters has been delivering high quality youth mentoring programs in Australia for over 35 years, supporting young people who face serious adversity – helping them to stay at school, unlock their potential
and break the cycle of disadvantage.
Together with the Australian Youth Mentoring Network, Australia’s peak mentoring body which supports over
270 mentoring programs across Australia, Big Brothers Big Sisters are enabling young
people to build a brighter future for themselves and their community.
In this current climate what are your company’s needs?
To engage, inspire and motivate your sta? 1
To cut the cost of training whilst delivering continued personal development? 2
What are the BENEFITS to your COMPANY?
To be socially responsible and raise your public profi le? 3
The MILLION $ CHALLENGEis a zero-cost learning and development tool to
build essential working skills and motivate your employees.
Teams are faced with a very real challenge in turning an initial
capital sum into profi t. Studies have shown that when employees
achieve something challenging, the pressure more often than not
has a positive effect on the employees’ level of psychological wellbeing,
which is in turn linked to an improved performance in the workplace.
“ This program provided many positive benefi ts for both our employees as well as those young Australians who are part of the mentoring program. It truly is a win-win. The TAL team used this as a meaningful development
and skills building exercise which resulted in raising funds to help the youth of our country reach their potential. TAL is committed to
supporting Australian communities and is proud to have been part of this initiative.”

Mentoring is such a great way to empowerthe next generation to hone their skills for theirdevelopment today. Our 7 birdies team hasbeen able to network more widely within CroweHorwath speaking to teams they wouldn’t necessarily have much contact with in theireveryday roles.
