Loucks was installed at the Annual State Convention of the New York State Elks Association in May. Message  from  the  President By President Linda Maguire

Spring is well under way, and so many things have been happening around the Lodge. Spring clean-up was held on May 4. Seventeen Lodge and Ladies Auxiliary members worked very hard together and after three solid hours, the Lodge grounds looked beautiful. Thank you to all who helped. Mother's Day was a huge success. We served over 200 people who all enjoyed the wonderfully prepared breakfast buffet. I want to thank Dolores Ostwald, Theresa Sullivan, her daughter, Kellie Sullivan, Sharon O'Brien, and her daughter Jennifer Cuppett for serving and waitressing, and Todd Boomhower for helping with coffee service and clean up. Saturday, May 18th was a very special day for Dale Loucks. Dale was installed as State Vice President at the Hilton in Albany. It was a wonderful evening for all who attended the installation ceremony, and we are all very proud of Dale. Monday, May 27th was a beautiful day for a parade. The Lodge and Ladies Auxiliary members marched in the Poestenkill Memorial Day Parade. Back at the Lodge, Exalted Ruler John Phillips, and his team, did a great job of preparing the chickens with John's famous barbeque sauce. Thank you to the Ladies who contributed salads, baked potatoes, and brownies. Congratulations go out Heather Silvernail for a very successful Chicken Barbeque and Flea Market. You did a terrific job and we raised a lot of money for Cerebral Palsy! The Lodge has decided to have a Father's Day breakfast this year. Please make your reservations

early. Its a wonderful way to start the day, and treat your dad to a great breakfast at the Lodge. All help is greatly appreciated. The Ladies are once again to having our sheets fundraiser. Stephanie Silvernail is Chairperson. Sheets are 1200 Thread count, 100% Egyptian cotton, come in all sizes, and in a variety of solid colors. The price is $45.00 for any size sheet set. New this year, our vendor is offering comforters to match the sheets. Now is the time to start thinking gift giving, and these sheets and/or comforters make terrific gifts. Delivery date will be sometime in December, just in time for Christmas. Girl Scout Troop #1433 from Poestenkill has been turning gently used pillowcases into sundresses for
